Escrow Services for Watch Purchasing
I've searched a couple of times and don't see this mentioned in any posts.Owing to some great guidance and links (many thanks to ulackfocus), I have been happily "splashing" around on various sites looking at pre-owned watches. As a couple of folks have mentioned, a key factor in purchasing is knowing who you dealing with ("buy" the seller) to mitigate the risk of being ripped off. However, it seems to me that an escrow service would be just the ticket for buying and selling watches. As I mentioned, however, I don't see any reference to escrowing here or elsewhere. I'm sure this is not an original idea of mine, so is there a reason why it does not appear that escrow services are used?

Hi, after doing much soul searching for my next watch acquisition, I needed to have a watch that I considered durable, waterproof and with a history. I wanted a watch that had a movement designed in house with a good power reserve. I especially wanted a great deal. I stumbled into an AD on line that had exactly what I was looking for, except it was in Rose Gold instead of Stainless. Oakmont, male or female lugs?
There is a very desirable Hamilton Oakmont ending tonight on eBay. I can't get a straight answer from the seller. Any opinion as to whether this example should have male lugs? Have these been broken off and/or drilled out?? The eBay listing is 280758849056

How snug is your bracelet?
Got my first AP (metal bracelet) today and had it sized at the shop.After walking around a bit outside, I felt that it was a bit too snug, so I went back to the shop and had them put a link back in. Now, I am concerned that its too loose!Generally speaking, I like my watches to be snug and sit above my wrist bone. However, now, with that extra link back in, it becomes really loose when I am indoors with air conditioning, but when I'm outside, with the humidity it feels just right... Does anyone have any advice with this? Will the bracelet break in and get any looser? I get really OCD when the watch drops past my wrist bone.Your advice is greatly appreciated...E
