surprised by new watch
Purchased this watch May 24, from my local A.D.I decided to do a time test on the last watch that I purchased (my Hamilton).I've done the same to this watch, and this watch has given me a little surprise.Wednesday night I set my watch to match my radio programed clock that came with my Orbita watch winder.Four days later my PO is still within a second of the Radio clock.I had to take a photo of this, it was just to tough to tell by glancing back and forth between watch and clockI listed the second hand as being on the 07. It is just to the left of the 8 second marker.I think I did a nine day test on the Hamilton, and it was and still is plus 6 seconds per day. Looks like this Omega might be a plus 0.222 seconds per day.

Patek March 2012 price listIt's getting insane A friend of mine wanted to buy a 5960 in 2008, the price was more or less 50K. He didn't buy it back then but he never stoped thinking about the watch. Last time he asked for the price (after saving up) they told him it was 72K I don't think he still wants to buy it.How can a watch increase 50% in 5 years ??I don't think I will ever buy a Patek again. I wish I could but when I see their prices I must stop dreaming

Reliability--how dependable is your Oris?
Oris is one of those nice lesser priced brands which always surprises me in terms of perceived "bang for the buck". I have a Revue Thommen which has served me well for over 5 years now and is a terrific watch and is in this same price category. Although I haven't yet owned an Oris I have tried them on several times and have been favorably impressed, just not in the position to buy right at that time. One dealer did tell me that he had more warranty repairs for Oris than for some of his other lines, but most of them to be fair are pretty elite and on average 5 to 15 times the price. How is your Oris treating you? Has it be reliable for you?

I hear a lot about very little, some good information, some bad - I'd like to try to clear that up a bit for everyone. There are three "umbrella categories" that lume can fall into:1. Order time for a Tag Heuer
I've finally zeroed on a nice new Tag for my collection - the Twin Time Carrera. Got a good price from my local AD, however he tells me to order one, will take about 3 months.Is this normal? Seems out of line to me.
