Invicta 16987 wrist watches news:
I spotted this prototype Carl F. Bucherer watch recently and was immediately taken by it. It combines a sense of retro-sport fashion and the function-mind execution that I have come to expect from the brand. I believe the official name for the watch is the Carl F. Bucherer Manero CentralChrono. In a Manero case, the watch is larger on the wrist being about 44-45mm wide (I would guess) and in steel. You can tell that it is available with an almost slate colored dial or a silvered one. The chunky style case is thick and brushed all around. There are polished elements on the dial for a nice contrast. That includes the nice looking applied arrow-head hour indicators and dauphine hands. Thankfully it is a sport watch so there are lume dots for the hours and lume on the hands. I also need to mention that the hands could be a bit longer - but it isn't bad.Aside from a few in-house movements based on the caliber A1000 base, Carl F. Bucherer often builds on ETA bases. I am not sure what the aut
Hi Ian, Jack here, and thanks so much for writing in.Well, those are really two questions – the first, whether you’ve made good choices and the second, whether the watches you have bought will hold their value. To the first, the person best equipped to answer is really you and you alone, but I think you’ve made solid choices in terms of getting things that are going to give you a lot of personal satisfaction. Your mail has the sound of someone who’s having a lot of fun with what he’s got.The second question is essentially impossible to answer; as an investment in a college fund, though, watches are probably kind of a terrible idea, I’m sorry to say, and looking forward to 2023, which is 8 years away, the only thing we can say is that anyone who says they know what the watch market is going to be like then is a terrible liar. Chances are of the three brands you’ve mentioned the Patek is the likeliest to hold its value, but to what extent depends
If the warranty book is properly stamped by an AD but the date isn't filled in does anyone know how warranty work is handled by Clearwater or is it denied? I don't have any issues with my watches and they are named and dated but I often see undated, stamped AP's for sale and am curious how that would work. Anyone have any experience with it?
I didn't want to barge into the other Speedy and Houston thread, so I thought I would start my own. If you are a WIS you might find this interesting. If you read my Speedy and Archive Question thread you know something about my 105.012-65.003. But here is my Houston connection. So the guy I bought the watch from says he bought the watch from the daughter of the original owner after the original owner passed away. She says her father bought it new at the same store in Houston where the astronauts got their watches (Corrigans?) right around the time of the Gemini space flights. He lived in Houston for 30 years, moved to London for about twenty years (where it might have gotten it's .003 movement) and then back to Houston before he passed away. My seller lived in Houston and bought it from the daughter in Houston. After I bought the watch I texted the seller. Knowing the watch did not have box or papers, but knowing the watch would come in a box with a return address from Houston, I asked
