A Year in the Life of a Datejust
When I got my first Rolex a few years ago, an F-series Datejust, Cal. 3135, it was the first mechanical watch I¡¯d had after a long period of using battery-powered watches. In order to compare the accuracy of the Rolex to these accurate watches, I kept for a while a frequent record of the time accuracy of the Datejust as compared to a reference time signal, that is, its time deviation. I thought the community might be interested in the results. The attached figure shows my measurements of deviation over a period of about 14 months, with readings taken every day or every few days. My reference was the either the coordinated universal time given at ¡°time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5¡±, or the WWV radio time. I¡¯ve compared the two and found them extremely close. In a test like this, though, it¡¯s more important to use the same reference consistently than to get a single, absolutely precise reference. Hey gang, Long time listener, first time caller. I've found this forum to be exceptionally informative, as there must be several centuries worth of knowledge from the WIS collective here. I only wish I had a Rolex to join all the great GTGs!Just finished college/post grad and now have moved into the real world. I recently bought my first "real" watch (Oris Divers Date) and am very pleased as it should see me through both business meetings and all my various sporty endeavors. That being said, I was looking to get a Rolex SD in the next several years as my everyday, grown-up, starting a family heirloom watch. Its understated timeless look, bomb-proof construction, storied history, and above all, top-tier movement make it a goal well worth working towards. But alas, its pending discontinuation is challenging my grand scheme.Here is my dilemma- do I beg, plead, steal, and bank-loan now to jump on it while it's still available, or do I trust that in the 12-24 months I had planned to purchas

Ladies Calatrava help
Hello everyone I am looking for a ladies Calatrava in either white gold or platinum.It will be a gift for my wifeI have a Calatrava 5127 and I think that it will be very cute if I could find a ladies Calatrava that has a very similar casing.Alternatively I think an Ap or a vc would do just as well but since I have a Calatrava I thought it might be kinda cool for her to have a matching watch.Any ideas?

Which watch would you pair with an Explorer 1?
I recently purchased a new 214270 Explorer 1. They AD offered me a great deal if I bought two watches at once, and I ended up putting a deposit on a No Date Sub 114060. I¡¯m having a little buyers remorse as I¡¯ve done very little research on the 114060, and was hoping for some assistance from the Rolex experts.
