Jacob & Co. JC-M47 2.00 carat bezel wrist watches news:
I am glad to announce the expecting of the Orbita Sparta Executive 2. Kevin was great help and I really appreciated his assistance. Will definetly post pictures once I load it up with the watches.Again, thanks to kevin.
I'm looking at getting a Rob Montana strap, but the buckle I wan't is a custom one and Rob doesn't have the ability to polish it in house, he's just not set up for it. Has anyone ever used a service to have something like this polished? I really want the buckle but if it can't be polished, I'll have to go back to the drawing board.
This is probably my favorite Hamilton .The owner picked it up for a song and was willing to pay for the restoration which included polishing every piece of steel in the watch . I also took the liberty of bluing the screws and heat treating the case screws to a gold colour . they look gold plated but are not that colour is the first stage in the tempering process .
A bit of background first. My wife put her foot down after my last purchase and insisted "no more watches!", "Sure," I replied, and then under my breath "this year!!" :DAnyhoo, Christmas is coming up and I have spoilt her a bit with a few gifts including 2 surprises, 1 big and 1 small (in monetary terms). She, however, does not know what to get me. So, eventually I suggest "well, what about a watch?" not expecting her to go for it. Well, she did!! So, it is ordered and the tracking says it is on its way ready to be wrapped and put under the tree!!I can't wait for Christmas day!!
