- Before purchasing this, I researched . It is a very well respected Swiss watch maker. This is truly a very fine Swiss watch, comparable to many that cost hundreds if not a thousand dollars more. The pictures here does not do the watch justice.

Jacob & Co. JC-47srwr 3.25 carat bezel wrist watches news:
In 2014, Ball Watch broke new ground in antimagnetic watch technology with the introduction of its Engineer II Magneto S, a watch that featured an inner shield, made of a patented alloy called “mumetal,” which protected its mechanical movement from the adverse effects of magnetic fields. This year, the company takes the concept a step further with the Engineer II Volcano, which boasts an entire case made of antimagnetic mumetal. I got my first look at the watch this week at the JCK watch and jewelry fair in Las Vegas. Why “Volcano?” Because, the company says, volcanoes are among the most ideal environments for exploration and research into antimagnetic technologies because of their natural links to strong magnetic fields; volcanoes inspired Ball Watch’s researchers to further develop the magnetism-resistant mumetal alloy beyond its initial usage, as a protective inner “diaphragm” surrounding the movement, and incorporating it into the components
For 2011 the 180-year-old brand is launching a new chronograph in its Capeland line. The 44mm case, available in steel or 18K red gold, houses a La Joux-Perret automatic bi-compax chronograph movement with flyback and date. The dial offers a distinctly vintage appeal with telemeter and tachymeter scales. Blued or gilt Breguet hands complete the retro look. Find wallpaper and prices inside. The movement is visible through a sapphire caseback and features blued steel screws and a circular-grained finish for the plate and the bridges. The rotor is engraved with the brand¡¯s emblematic Phi, further adorned with ¡°C?tes de Gen¨¨ve¡± and snailed d¨¦cor. The steel version is priced at $7000, while the 18K red gold model retails at $18,000plete specifications appear below the images, which may be enlarged with a click.ReferencesCAPELAND 10006 – SteelCAPELAND 10007 – 18K red goldMovement: Manufacture, automatic, (La Joux-Perret 8147-2)Open worked oscillating weight adorned with ¡°C?tes de
Last week, Blake brought you some of the earliest live photos of the new Lange 1 Moonphase anywhere on the net and today we're back with an early live look at another beauty from Lange ¨C this time a real monster. ?We say that because this watch, the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar, sits very high up on the wishlist of many a Lange collector, with its innovative?self-winding perpetual calendar, and hidden tourbillon with patented stop-seconds. But this is the special "Handwerkskunst," or hand-worked, version of this mega-watch, and I got the chance to see it in the metal just this morning in Palm Beach, at Lange's only North American boutique. 2 OF 20 This is the second benchmark Lange to receive the Handwerkskunst treatment ¨C the first was the white gold Zeitwerk, which, one year ago to the day,?we published live photos of here. The solid white gold dial is completely hand decorated, using a rare combination of tremblage and relief engraving. The result is just rema
Hi everyone,I am thinking about buying this watch. How much discount can I expect to get. From either AD or grey mkt. Thanks
I started my horological journey in 1997 one year out of school and securing a decent job. At the end of one year of employment, I wanted to mark the occasion with my first real watch purchase. Mind you, at that time, I was only aware of Rolex and Omega having coming from a family where majority of my elders were wearing vintage Omegas. I didn't really know what I am doing and insisted on getting a piece with an automatic movement, using Rolex as the guide for a major watch purchase. At the time, I didn't think I was quite Rolex material (great marketing) and wanted something different. Looked all over the store and settled on this piece at a good price point. This to me at the time was a large purchase. Omega Speedmaster Automatic at 39mm with the jeweled Dubois-D¨¦praz 2020 chronograph module on a jeweled ETA 2890-A2 movement. Of course, I found out about all this after going down the rabbit hole that is horology. I was happy with the piece for the next 10 years. I wore i
