Jacob & Co. JCM122 (JCM-122) wrist watches news:
I will likely be looking for a Great White to buy fairly soon (as soon as I free up some funds by selling my Seiko Ananta). I was hoping for some advice on what to look for in a Great White (besides the usual "buy the seller"). Are there particular things to look for that will tell an original apart from a fake? Issues to ask about? Thanks.
Hi there.I'm looking for a watch that is discreet enough to be worn with evening wear. I've narrowed it to two brands that have ADs and service centers in my area. I saw the De Ville Prestige - steel, black dial, black leather strap - and it looks great for the task, but I don't know anyone who owns one. Am also looking at the IWC Portofino. Have never owned an IWC before and only two of my friends have IWCs but these are MkIV pilot's watches from circa 2000 I think. Still have to visit the AD to get a price on the IWC.Would really appreciate any comments on these two watches. The job will require me to attend more evening events in the next few months and the crowd I encounter is a bit conservative when it comes to deportment. That they sign my paychecks doesn't easy my tensions much either...Thanks!
Here are a couple of photos of the newest addition to my watch collection. My very first AP! For the some time, I was torn time between the black and white dials. I've finally decided on the white and I am absolutely loving it. I can't stop admiring it. The way the light catches the different surfaces is simply mesmerizing!
Boom!!! What do you all think? There was cash involved as well
Hope to see many incoming of this beautiful timepiece!
