- was as pictured - no surprise on the look and "feel" expected. The case was an added pleasant surprise since the item was a gift.

- Bought this watch in both yellow and red. Looks even better in person than in the picture. If you're looking for something unusual and stylish, this is the watch for you.

Jaeger LeCoultre 146.8.25 wrist watches news:
Hi WTFers, I have stalked internet sites, bought beginners' tools, and acquired a spread of dollar watches over the last few weeks. Now I begin my new hobby - learning how they work & trying to 'service' them. The following is my documentation and photos from the first attempt - a cheap, non-running Progress Dollar Watch. This is a lengthy post....so Moderators, if this post is too long, too picture-happy, or unsuitable for these forums please edit or tell me as you see fit!1. I created a basic information template so that I could organize the information on each watch as well as what the heck I was doing to service it. For all of my watches I now just paste in the boiler and fill in the data.WATCH TYPE: PROGRESS USA Pocket “Dollar Watch”Year: (?) Size: 6 (?) I thought I had posted this before, but I cant find it,J.W.BENSON WATCH COMPANY HISTORY:J.W.Bensons started up as a partnership between Samuel Suckley Benson and James William Benson.About 1840,they were selling watches under the name SS & JW Benson,Cornhill,London. In Jan 1855,the partnership was dissolved and from 1855 to 1891 (according to R Good) or 1897 (according to NAWCC supplement 20) the company traded as J.W.Benson and the firm moved to Ludgate Hill, after which they became a limited liability company. They held royal warrants during the 2nd half of the 19th century, starting in 1876,for Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales, the King of Siam and the King of Denmark.About this time J.W.Benson also had premises Royal Exchange and Bond Street, but it seems that neither of these addresses appeared on the dials of their watches.During 1889,J.W.Benson went on a buying spree, acquiring,Hunt & Roskell of London & Manchester,Silversmiths and Jewellers, and Sir John Bennett of Cheaps
Anyone have the new superocean 44 on steel bracelet? Want opinions on the watch cause I really like the 44 since I have a big wrist. Well made? Any input is appreciated. Thanks
Came across a post with this picture a while back when I was oogling over 5164 pics and deciding whether to go for one (which I did). However, its just a grab from Instagram and no details...anyone know how easy it is to put a 5167 bracelet onto a 5164?Is it as simple as sourcing one and putting it on? Any conversions needed? Different pins? etc etcI'm much more a fan of the rubber strap than I ever thought I'd be (and admit it was a positive factor in the consideration to purchase) but I do like to change things up from time to time. Will seem like a different watch and no need to flip for another Orig post:.rolexforums/showthrea...=324902&page=2
