Service & Store or Just Store? - Omega Dynamic Chrono
Hey Folks,I've been organizing my safe and came across my first nice watch ever, given to me as a gift from my parents almost 20 years ago. This discontinued Omega Dynamic Chronograph has never been serviced and is definitely not functioning correctly.For starters, the timing is all over the place and chronograph will not reset properly.I stopped in the Omega Boutique a couple years ago and they told me it would be about $800 for the full service if I remember correctly. That seemed ludicrous to me, to invest that much money in a watch that's probably only worth a few hundred dollars more.So here's the thing, I never wear this watch. It's been in a safe one way or another for the past 10+ years. I of course care about it, and perhaps would wear it once and a while if it was functioning correctly.
