Jaeger LeCoultre 176.84.70 wrist watches news:
Saturday morning, Vince and yours truly decided to go see their favorite AD, Mike. A very nice 60ish gentleman, Mike has been an Omega AD for fifty years, and has supported them through good times and bad times. Danny is his 20ish son (and a dashing good looking son - just ask the ladies!), and he's poised to take over the business in a few years. . These are two very nice people, are now more friends than AD people to me. Their commercial philosophy is remarkable, and really they make Omega proud (even if Omega is now a bit harsh with the "small independent" AD, and they forget these smaller shops and boutiques made the brand what it is today - but that's another story). Why did we visit Mike and Danny? Well because someone did not trust someone with changing a PO from bracelet to rubbah strap :D.So, after a few greetings with Mike and Danny we sat down to have a look at that hot rubbah strap Vince got from Mike (took three weeks), which is smoking good looking, if I say so (the str
Can someone tell me the year/cal of this watch and maybe value. thanks
Hello All, This is a tad lenghty, but please give me a chance. I am truely curious, and completely clueless about watches, other then how to read one.Thank you for taking the time to read my post. A while back while I was completeing mortuary school, an older gentleman (82, I believe) who worked part time at the funeral home gave me a watch because mine went out. I was greatful as this gentleman was a dear friend of mine, and like a second grandfather. However, I didn't like the watch personally (I don't really dig gold). So it set it a drawer for a couple of years. I was cleaning out a box and stumbled across it and I realized it was a SEIKO. Now I know that isn't anything like a Rolex or anything like that but I know SEIKO is a fairly decent brand. Anyways the watch has a Z1033 on the band and some number on the battery that reads 2D7918. I am just curious if this watch has any value or is it just a kind memento from an old friend? I am not really interested in selling it, like I sai
Hello Gentlemen,Good Afternoon. I have narrowed down my search for everyday watch that I can wear daily to gym, office weekend etc and not be worried of the wear...Although I would have to mention that I did experience some trouble with my auto aqua terra. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.
As some of you would know, I was contemplating getting a 5712 vs a 5167 vs a 5164. I then decided on getting a 5712 and 5167 only to find none were available in Singapore. Thanks to a TRF member (nakedtoes) I was able to get one - double sealed from an AD! People always say, photos don't do this watch justice... Now I know what they mean.
