Suggestions for a cool automatic or hand-wind watch for my 9 year old nephew
My nephew is ready to retire the Lego watch I gave him last year. I'd like to hear suggestions for something cool to get for him that is auto or manual wind.Prefer diver-style, as he digs my watches with rotating bezels (yesterday he flipped over the Megalodon ).We're not in the $500+ range yet, but maybe this will be the start his own watch-box!

Omega in the world of watches
First of all, a few disclaimers:-I have limited knowledge of the Omega brand-I've never owned an Omega timepiece-I am familiar with all of the other brands to some extent (Rolex, PP, AP, JLC, etc.)Now, please take this with a grain of salt if you must, but after drooling over the Seamaster 300 (the vintage inspired one with a Master Co-Axial movement), I was literally shocked at the price tags that these beautiful watches are commanding. $7500 CAD for a starter model in stainless steel, up to $75,400 for the platinum version.Is it fair that they're charging more than what a new SS Sub is worth for this model? Is it fair that you can get a Rolex PM Sub for half the cost of that PT Omega Seamaster 300? And I mean fair simply in the sense that: Can they justify charging these prices? If so, how?I am curious to hear your responses. And I'm paying attention, because I can't shake the thought of owning one of those SS Seasmaster 300's, despite the price tag!!!

My First Rolex (SS GMT Master II)
Hi,I bought by first Rolex last week, and i'm over the moon with it (unfortunately the forum won't allow me to upload photos until I have 10 posts, so I will do so when I reach that, thanks).My daily up until now and for the last 5 years has been a Breitling Navitimer GMT (48mm).
