"But the Chinese have been making watches, and watch parts for years" you say. Yes, but how many Chinese watch brands do you know of? Just a scant few. Sea-Gull is one of them, but really who else that you'd take seriously? Over the last few years some of the major Chinese watch makers who have been making the parts in other popular watches have decided that they need to get into the game of having their own brands. It is a totally novel concept for them because most Chinese watches are labeled as something else. Be it a legitimate foreign company or a knock-off of something else. Questions regarding Longines
Hi all, I am a new member and have two simple questions for you guys regarding a Longines Presence Automatic Watch I recently bought in Switzerland. 1. While it didn't say in the user manual, I was told the other day that when I need to change the date on the watch, I will have to set the time to around 6:30 (the two hands must be between 3 and 9). Otherwise this may damage the watch. The thing is, since this was not in the manual, I did not follow this rule when I set the time. Will this already damage my watch?2. The band on this watch is stainless steel. It seems that the band connecting the watch is a bit "loose." By "loose" I don't mean the band will break away. It's just that on both ends, if you pull the stainless steel brands out a bit to the right, you can see that one side is not as tight as the other. Is this normal?Any input would be greatly appreciated!!Thanks!

Back with a Dilemma of course.Let me just point out that my purchase for either of these watches will be in Stainless Steel.The RG was the only one avail for both, but gives you guys an idea.Which is your pick?I think the two make a killer combo, however that is not in the budget. I have already decided that I prefer the 15202 over the 5711 as my genta design watch.The 5167 IMO is just a completely different watch. Very cool, very subtle, and a cool casual look.I can only buy one, and the next purchase will have to wait quite a long time as I will be tied with some other things.Between these two pieces.
