Vacheron Constantin 6747 wrist watches news:
2010 is the second year of Alpina being the official timekeeper for the storied 12 Hours of Sebring race in Florida. The manufacturer celebrated this partnership with the production of a limited edition, two-timezone chronograph creatively called the 12 Hours of Sebring Automatic Chrono GMT. The watch is strongly influenced by style elements of race cars. This concept, unless overdone like in several AP Offshores, works fantastically. The sporty, yet subtle style and quality specs of this watch appealed to me when I first received the press release but playing with the actual timepiece at Baselworld 2010 was when I really got to appreciate it.Perhaps the most distinctive element of Alpina watches is the Extreme Avalanche cases. The big, rubber-clad crown and thick, flat bezel make are adept for a larger size case. This explains why most Alpinas today are between 45 and 48mm in diameter, and why the 42mm models are eyed mostly by women. The 12 Hours of Sebring Chronograph spans 47mm on
It was June 26, 1801 that Abraham-Louis Breguet patented the tourbillon, meaning yesterday was the legendary complication's 213th anniversary. Breguet celebrated Tourbillon Day in New York City with an exhibition of tourbillon wristwatches at their 5th Avenue boutique, giving us a perfect excuse to go hands-on with one of the manufacture's most impressive modern complications, the ref. 3797 Classique Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar. Not only is there a massive tourbillon counting the seconds at 6 o'clock, but also a full perpetual calendar with leap year indicator and a retrograde date up top. This is a watch that shows off the very best of where Breguet comes from and what they can do today. 2 OF 6 Just looking at the ref. 3797, it's obvious you have a very complicated watch on your hands. One of Breguet's hallmarks is exceptional guilloche dials that mix multiple patterns and finishes to create a look reminiscent of the 18th and 19th century pocket wat
I've always been a lover of Seiko, having bought a Seiko at the PX upon graduation from boot camp back in 1976 as my 1st "real" watch. That one was lost (stolen) with the rest of my luggage during my last flight home after separation (probably stolen off the carousel before we could disembark from the plane.)But, I have owned several new Seikos since that time and I currently own two- a Chrono and a Seiko 5. I have been wanting a Seiko Automatic Diver for some time now, but there are so many different versions and colors, that I until now haven't been able to decide on which one to buy.Maybe I should have asked some questions before I pulled the trigger on this one on Ebay last night. But when I saw it, time was running out and I had to act fast. I had a little time to refer to the online "Seiko Divers Reference" before deciding to take my chances, and, so far, I can't see anything 'wrong' or out of place about this watch. Here is some of the information provided by the seller:
I opened up the mail today after returning from vacation, I was excited that my nice antique Illinois GF cushion case arrived! It was in a job lot that I bought on "the bay" and this fake ladies Rolex was included in the lot. This is one of the better fakes that I have seen (as far as fakes go). The date lens is way too magnified, it's quartz, the gold chrome plating is flaking badly, second hand does not sweep, Swiss made is in the wrong spot. The weight is actually just about correct though, good attempt at the clasp, it's actually a screw down crown and the setting adjustments are the correct ones for a Rolex which surprised me, usually the fakes are way off when it comes to this. It is actually keeping good time/date. Now what to do with this monstrosity ! ? ! ? ! ? Throw it into a lake? Drive over it with the car? Just toss it in the trash? Smash it with a hammer? Have someone pitch it to me and smack it with a baseball bat? Put it in the bathtub and see how long it takes to drown
Hello AllPlease could you kindly recommend some sites where I could purchase a very good quality strap, (leather) for a Rolex Datejust 41.Thank you very much.
