Cartier WF9003YC wrist watches news:
The Van Horn, Cal. 500 was another Hamilton Electric.Notice the arrow style sculpted markers at 3, 6, and 9 positions. Gorgeous IMHO.
I just purchased a Hamiliton Field Crono model H71556737 and a Jazz Master, model H 32515555, both automatic's. I wound the watch when I started to wear it. I placed the Field Crono on my winder after wearing it for two days, it continued to run right on time for two to three days. On the fourth day I found the watch had stopped. I did this twice and both times it stopped. My wind runs 24 minutes, and stops for 3:36 minutes which they say will keep the watch running. I have a Rolex, some Seiko's and an older Hamilton crono and have not had this happen before. Called Hamilton and they said they don't recommand putting there watches on winders. That makes no sense to me. does anyone have any insight into this issue.
First off, I'm not a watch "collector" as I only have two, and I only got them 'cus I liked the look and wasn't worried about the make (in fact, when I bought this model back in the '80s, I'd never even heard of Movado before). I was told by one place (same place I got this file photo) that it was called the Centenaire and was made in '81 for Movado¡¯s 100 year anniversary. But that was the only place I've ever seen a picture or any info about it. Never got any more info from them, or reply from Movado. The face just has Movado and Quartz and Swiss made. The back reads Surf Stainless Steel and 59 2009.116 (but it's a little hard to read). I'm not looking for opinions on the brand or my taste in watches :) Just want to know more about this particular watch. I don't plan on getting rid of it, but I'd like to know for insurance purposes (long story, but this watch was already lost/stolen once and I like it enough to add it to my policy) and I don't know if that's the actual model or not, i
I just took a look on the AP site, the last time I looked on the ROO self winding models, there was only the 2 SS divers, now there is also the white ceramic diver, I thought they were discontinued as well as the black ones, could it be they are not discontinued? Is that the case or maybe AP has a lot in stock and decided to put it back on their site for potential clients.Does anyone know about this?I must say I would be glad if the black ceramic would stay discontinued as IMO it adds rarity and exclusivity to this watch, and that's good for actual owners
Guys, I'm ready to pull the trigger on one of these. I'm leaning towards Patek 5167 because of better resale and brand but AP Royal Oak does look really nice as well.If Patek, would you get the bracelet or rubber strap? If there's a 5k difference from AP to Patek (more expensive), is it worth it? I wear a suit 5 days a week and I'm looking for one watch to wear as everyday with suits and polo. Thanks for your help.
