Within the last few weeks there was a discussion here about SOMEONE looking for a semi-matte flat band in grey or black with white stiching and an exposed edge to mimic the original Hamilton band. If anyone knows where that thread was, PLEASE feel free to move my post whereever it belongs. Someone was looking for a band very similar to those that came on a few rare platinum cases in the 20s and 30s. I recently tripped over a relatively cheap band (matte shark, actually) while searching a European watch site. It is 16mm and non-tapered. Does anyone know if this band is sold in the US? I think it fits the need almost perfectlyalbeit with a subtle modern touch of tone-on-tone shark. This band retails for only about 15 Eurosso let'shope that one of our sponsors here offers it!!! :) It also comes in brown but I don't think grey.
I have heard it from a few good sources that the price increase is Imminent....some models more than others but now is the Time to buy.
Shipped this in from New York yesterday. Paid more than I wanted to, but other than this one I couldn't find any anywhere except boutiques. The white dial is the way to go. I looked at the black and blue, but the pop on this is just amazing. taking it tomorrow to get one more link added on, AD took out two and its a bit too tight.Definitely last purchase for a while. Gotta get through college, lol
So since I had a day to kill I took 150 mile round trip drive to the nearest Omega dealer to actually see this piece on my wrist as others have said it definitely wears smaller than 44.25MM and I got to see the black on a bracelet and the Blue on leather. Both are quite stunning in the flesh I might have went for the blue on a bracelet but I have this tremendous bias towards black watches anyway after trying it on and seeing it in the flesh I pulled the trigger on a black/bracelet should have it by Friday! Traded my SMP I just like the Tudor HBB too much to let it go.
