IWC iw371713 wrist watches news:
Hi my next door neighbor knowing I'm into watches asked her son to have me obtain information on this Illinois watch I took picture as best I could since my photo skills are marginal It was her father's watch Any feedback would be greatly appreciated Hope this is in proper forum
Came across this today, pretty interested in seeing what i can find out about it!It's pretty beat up, the crystal is plastic and a funky yellow color. It's missing the hour hand, I have the second had (it fell off). The back says "ORD. DEPT. USA OD-28593". On the inside of the back it says "Waltham. Base metal"The movement is trash, the dial says 17 jewels but the movement says 9. I don't think it's the original dial or movement.I have two other movements. (The one on the right w/ the minute hand was the one originally in the watch that I got) They came with the watch.I think the one in the middle, with no jewel marker on the face, might be the original. It seems more plain and probably military-standard. All the movements are 9 jewelsSo, what do you guys think? Worth it to try and clean up another movement and see if I can get it running? It needs an hour hand, and a lug.
Hi AllJust wondering what would be a good 1st Panerai to get.Cheers
I just bought my first luxury watch: an Omega Planet Ocean with the 2500 movement. Thanks to TRF and Matt!It is a graduation present to myself for when I finish my BBA in Finance, Accounting, and International Business in May of this year. I got it in the mail today, took it out of the box, admired it, removed the protective plastics, resized the bracelet, tried it on...then put it back in the box where it will stay until I really wear it the first time on graduation day. But until then, it's full-time school, CPA, and CFA preparation. What a blast!Per tradition, here are a few quick pics.Oh it's beautiful! On my 6.25 wrists (Gibson Les Paul in the background)And a pic of the dog :)
