- Just got the watch and it looks beautiful! There is no arm for the seconds but this gives it a simple, elegant feature. It's a gift so not sure about the durability yet.

Ulysse Nardin 326-00 wrist watches news:
One of the most art deco watches in the Gruen Quadron line, and not an easy watch to locate. I've only seen 2 yellow examples for sale in 7 years, and perhaps 4 white examples. 38 x 22mm, these photos were taken when I bought it perhaps 6 years ago. When I got it, all seemed to be original old enamel fill, original dial, unengraved back, beveled crystal, and perfect-running 119 Quadron movement. (I have seen one other with a 117 movement, but this case is clearly marked 119-70.) Other than a light rub with simichrome polish (which hid the brassing at the highpoints on the corners), an occasional touch of a jewelers cloth, and a very light cleaning of the dial, and a Debeer handmade strap, all remains exactly as it was the day I bought it. I think I've only worn it once. Hmmm, I might wear it this weekend!
So I was at some ADs today, that admittedly, were out of my living/working area (I was on the road). There were Tags, Movados, ESQs, Bullovas, and other watches, that some would consider high end, and some would not. When I inquired if they had any Rolexes, they replied no. When I inquired about IWC, not one AD heard of it. Some would ask, "Who makes them?" "What does it stand for?" "What company makes them?" "Are they Swiss or digital?" And stuff like that. So then when I get back here, I find that there is only one AD within 150 miles of where I live. BTW, they had not heard of Ball Watches either.Has anyone else experienced this? And is IWC that rare?
Almost a dressy watch. The mesh band is striking. Joins my Omega PO and Rolex GMT Master IIc.
Are there any rules of thumb for regulating an automatic (Swiss) movement by leaving the watch in a different position overnight? For example, watch runs slow, leave it crown down overnight. Runs fast, crown up. I'm refering to ETA movements. I thought I saw that Rolex instructions come with this sort of information.
Been waiting for a long time, or at least it felt that way! Had not been able to try one on prior to getting the call but it definitely met the hype IMO... fit me perfect/comfortable. Appreciate everyone reviews/pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
