Baume & Mercier Baume & Mercier 22228 wrist watches news:
...as many of you know, we have started a trend in 2006 that brought many WISfrom all around the world even closer. Some guys just jump in the car and get there,(some lucky ones just take a cab or subway)…but many have boarded the planesor crossed the oceans !Not that GTG’s are something new, but I think that back in 2006 we started something very special.Something that brings this great watch enthusiasts community even closer and something thatis actually ‘way’ beyond watches. I am glad that watches are my hobby ! Because of them I havemet many great people whom I am proud to call my friends now !What started innocently in fall of 2006 is now slowly but surely becoming a tradition.By now we had 2 nice autumn meetings in Tampa and two in spring that took place in New York.In-between these larger events several of us met in Las Vegas, London or Basel, but somewhatthe FALL/TPA and SPRING /NYC meetings that are 6 months apart are becoming the events that we hope w
Hello everybody!I'm a happy owner of a Hamilton QNA with a metal link. I love the watch and can really recommend it to anyone. I will most def buy another one and i have got my eyes on a Hamilton Officer auto chrono or an Omega Chrono. I do however have a question. Is there anyone who knows how to change the braclet/link to a diffrent one, without take the clock to a watchmaker? I also would like to make the link shorter, how can i seperate the links and then put them together again? Is there a nice how to that someone knows of?I understand that you need special tools in order to do this change, where can i buy these tools and which tools is it that i need?I tried searching the forum for a similar post, but could not find one.Hope someone can help me with this. Thanks for a great forum!
Royal oak tourbillon, felt like a solid brick of elvish craftsmanship. A great size at 41mm and the dial/case are a match made in heaven. The bracelet is thin, yet strong and well engineered (obviously haha) it also finds a way to drape nicely (hard to tell here cause my wrists are small!) without feeling flimsy at all. I am a fan of the royal oak, always have been, but this peice far surpasses the feeling of specialness I get from most models. I dubbed it the golden snitch it just seems to fit. What do you guys think? Worth the 200k price tag? Or would you go with the concept GMT tourbillon?
Hello All,Would you all please vote for which of the 2 you like more? Sorry that the pics are diff quality, but I am sure you gentlemen know exactly what these watches look like in real life, etc etc.
Hi all! I am about to embark on the purchase of an Omega 311.30.42.30.01.006 (Sapphire Sandwich) with a view to doing the Mitsukoshi hand and dial swap conversion but I am struggling to find a watchmaker in the North West of England to do the work.I am aware of a couple of watchmakers that may perform the task but they are some distance from me and I would rather not post the watch and parts if it can be avoided.I am aware of: -Duncan Potter Genesis (016977 3123).genesiswatchmaking.co.uk/But this is in Cardiff.watchworks.co.uk/Again this is in Bristol so would require posting.I have tried Whittles Jewellers in Preston as they have an onsite watchmaker. They say they will do the dial swap etc but only for the cost of a full service ¡ê480. I informed them I intend to purchase a brand new watch (possibly from them) to do the conversion but they say all seals will need replacing, blah blah. This seems a bit excessive on a brand new watch and I don¡¯t really buy into it although they did sa
