Yep, I’m guilty. Got too busy last weekend, so we missed a round-up. Well, I’m sorry… but I think this week’s selection ought to make up for it. Lots of cool watches, as per usual, as I think the selection below will illustrate. Big thanks to everyone who submitted, new submitters and regulars. We love seeing them all and encourage you to browse #wornandwound to see everything. Enjoy! In order for your picture to be considered it should:a. include the hashtag #wornandwound and @wornandwoundb. be a watch related photo. Well, for Christmas, my family bought me a BEAUTIFUL watch case. I told them thank you of course, as I was thrilled, but made it known to them how much money their kind gesture would undoubtedly cost me in the near future. LOL! Im already speaking to another forum member about purchasing a large and lonely watch from him, and I figured I would see what else I could get on the cheap to start filling up my new watch box!My requirements are that it must be Mechanical / Auto.Must not be Asian (Although a Seiko Black Monster is in the running HA!)Must be 42mm or larger. And of course, must land within my price range.Im looking at The Aviator Hi-Tech Chrono (Russian Poljot). Which I have in Black, but would love the white dial version as it doesnt have numerals, and both dials are limited to 350 pieces. The Tissot Seastar. As I posted earlier, Im really digging this watch.A Steinhart Aircraft 8 (Pre-Loved). Im really starting to like this B&R design. Used to hate it, now love it, go
For the longest time I wanted a Jaeger LeCoultre, I stashed money away littl e by little til I finally had enough cash put away to purchase the watch that I so desired. Within six months of owning the watch my first heart wrenching moment, when I was on vacation in Thailand and yes one or two beers over the limit, I dropped it, because of this one of the screws loosened that caused the rotor to stick, so when I came back to the states I took it in for repair and the watch worked great. Yesterday morning, I was putting on my coat and again disastor the clasp got stuck on my coat and the watch fell off my wrist landing on my tile floor, I thought oh well another scratch but it was worse than that the minute hand was floating under the dial. Like any watch lover, worried about a sick child I left early from work to take it to my watch repair man. Now here I sit the very next day, hoping and waiting that my watch will live to beat another day.
Looking to buy one for my wife and seeing two models being sold that look the same but there is a 2000 difference. Breitling website has A4131012/BC06/171A listed and I also see it on the web and ebay listed for 8000 MSRP and selling price about 6000. But, I also see another model A4131012/BC06SS that is not listed on Breitling site but is selling MSRP for about 6000 and selling at about 4500.Any ideas on the difference or the reason for the difference in pricing? They seem to be exact based on description and pictures.
