Citizen FB1094-56D wrist watches news:
Pretty cool huh
Hi All, I have rediscovered a watch that I bought new 38 years ago. It is a Le Jour chronograph that I believe has a Heuer movement . I can only remember wearing it once or twice and it looks and works like new. Can anybody here tell me more about this watch and what it might be worth. I am posting pics, thanks for any info you might have.
Big deal - but wait, there's morethe watches in question are about (or at least) 22 years old .So what were the odds that I was sitting in a training class when I looked at the person sitting opposite me and noticed (as we sad watch people do) a yellow faced watch. "Hmmmthat's a bit unusual, not many people like or wear yellow dial watches, wonder what it is? It looks a bit familiar, kind of like my.hang on, exactly like my Seiko" - circa 1989.Fortunately he didn't think I was a complete nutter when I asked him about his watch (it's a constant risk when dealing with non-watch-obsessed people), and it turns out it belonged to his father who had an identical (or similar, I couldn't really tell from his description) white dial version - I'd love to see that one.Anyway, 'this thread is useless without pictures', and 'it didn't happen if there's no pics' so.excuse the cellphone camera quality, here are our two Seiko chronos, both in remarkably good condition after the aforesaid 22 odd years
I am starting to debate my next Patek purchase. I am dead set on either getting the 5970 or the new 5270. I like the 5970r aesthetically the most and the 5970p the second most but there is a big difference in price. I am debating going with the new 5270. Obviously it is only made in white at this time. I would love your overall thoughts and thoughts on short and long term collectibility of each piece. Thanks in advance!
I recently bought a Gunny strap for my PAM 346 off of strapfreaks. Some of the stitching started to come loose within a few days. I wrote to strapfreaks but their warranty policy is literally voided once the strap has been worn (I should have read their policy closely... that's on me), even though this was obviously a workmanship issue. They did offer me a repair which would have meant shipping the strap all the back to Indonesia on my dime. I ended up emailing Peter at Gunny Straps directly and he was very understanding and stated that he would send me a replacement ASAP. He definitely stands behind his work and takes obvious pride in his customer service.I would not buy from strapfreaks again, but I will definitely not hesitate to contact Peter for any of my future PAM strap needs.
