I tried a few shots of my favourite Hamilton.This was a 25 year anniversary watch given to my grandfather by the company he worked for back in the early 50's.I still wear this watch from time to time. Just received my straps from David at naotstrap.blogspot (see sponsor banner at top of page). Got to get the faves outfitted for summer. Surprise Valentine's day gift from the wife!
Always loved the look of the Hamilton Ventura....never could bring myself to commit to the money and patience to acquire an original electric version......so....While it goes against my rule of "real watches don't have batteries," I'm proud to wear this cool quartz remake of a classic!Even love the smaller "vintage" size. Works well on my spindly wrist.Thanks for letting me share!

Something occurred to me. First I will say that I am a big fan of the trusted sellers here. Particularly a nice fellow in Central Florida who has been good to me. Fair prices, fair trades, great service. Watches I would otherwise have to wait for. My question is this... what percentage of overall Rolex sales in 2017/2018 do you think go though greys? Of course, no way to quantify with real accuracy, so best guesses are ok. I'm curious.TRF is an relatively small group of hard core brand fans. We lose sight, I think, of the fact that much of the world does not know of or deal with grey dealers. So if the percentage is as small as I think it is, how can they allegedly have such an influence on the market and to justify the current poor AD availability and strategies?I hope this makes sense. If not, I'm sure I will hear it. My guess ...10% max.

The Grail Has Landed: Ice, Ice Baby
The Grail was delivered yesterday wearing an Ice Blue face spattered with diamonds. I opened the box expecting to view a brilliant blue dial; however, what I saw was a subtle hue, almost silver, that changes with the light. Although the watch is stunning, I was disheartened because I’d hoped for a deeper blue. Yet, as I sat with it, absorbing its heft on my wrist, watching the diamonds’ vivacity under the light, the dial came alive in the most subtle, seductive way.
