Interview: Atom Moore: Watches Photographed Through The Eyes Of A Collector
Atom Moore, a New York City-based photographer, presents an exhibition of watch photography next month. "Watch Portraits" will open Thursday, September 3, 2015, with a reception at Sacred Gallery in SoHo from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. The exhibition will feature selections from two styles of photography Moore has developed over two years of working in the watch industry: macros, or extreme close-ups of one element of a modern watch; and mash-ups, or composites of images taken of several examples of the same model of vintage watch. 1 OF 9 On a searing late-August evening, Moore sat down with me in the Library Bar in the NoMad Hotel. Spring bars
Spring bars (sometimes called pins, spring pins, etc.) are what attach a band/bracelet to the watch case. Fitting the correct size spring bars to a watch is important. Here's an example:This Gruen had a spring bar installed that was exactly the width of the lugs, leaving no room to compress for removal.The bracelet had to be pryed open and the spring bar cut in half to be removed.

Hello,After receiving this beauty I had to leave her for a week due to work... The moment I got home I took her out for a spin and boy I keep wondering where'd all my stress go?! Enjoy :)Together with the Panda...Some Morning shots as well...Enjoying every moment with the FC, had a couple incidents where I hit a coffee table and a friend's bracelet...but yes, you guessed it...no scratches whatsoever thanks to the Ceramic Bezel and Forged Carbon case Striptease shots coming soon....Cheers!

A little consolidating and an incoming
I¡¯ve always wanted a full PM piece so after a long while of debating, researching, trying on different options and some nice encouragement from my wife I consolidated two pieces and ended up with the following I¡¯m over the moon with it and glad I went for the yellow gold. I debated forever between yellow gold and the white gold sub as I have never worn any yellow gold before and am typically very low key. The brushed surfaces give it a great look and my wife is very happy with my choice (she has a 116613lb as a gift from me that she wears daily). I¡¯ve trimmed down to 2 watches now and I¡¯m very happy with the results: this 116618lb and a Patek 5167a. The two watches are polar opposites and pretty much cover all the bases for me. Very happy to have joined this club. Now, onto more pictures of the watch and a bunch of others that I tried on in the process. And a tray full of gorgeous DD40¡¯s just because. Cheers!
