The call it SPAM, but it is serious.If I have an idea, why not discuss it freely ?In industry and science, how many good ideas and discoveries have been made by amateurs and not by professionals ? Nobody less tha Albert Einstein was still an amateur scientist, when he published his theory abou the "Outer Photo Effect" and his "Special Relativity Theory", because he still was a poorly paid employee of a library and not professor of university. SubC dilemma: to trade for PO 8500 or not??
Guys,BIG dilemma. Im getting married this summer and can only afford one watch for now... I really like the new omega PO 8500 on bracelet and rubber. Done a lot of research and it would be a good pickup. However my random serial subc I picked up at the end of the year is my baby. I'm such a sub head. Problem is, I could get cash in a trade for the PO and put it toward some much needed expenses... Should I trade or keep the sub and hold out for the PO later on, sucking up the expenses, OR trade and re-buy the sub again lol. Thanks again, I hope to get some much needed advice. Cheers.

No hacking the seconds hand
Discoved that the seconds hand on my new (to me) 5167 can't be hacked to a 00:00 reset. I was glad to read on a couple of sites that it's a Patek feature (or omission, depending on your point of view) and not a defect on my piece. That would have been a traumatic flub as it just came from a PP servicing. Called my saleswoman, she was surprised, and would check with her watchmaker. How come she didn't know straight away? She's a Patek AD! Why didn't you guys tell me this? Is it expected that new owners are supposed to discover this secret on their own? Otherwise my Aquanaut is performing admirably, accurate to within 2 seconds over the past three days. And it looks great, sits low on the wrist.
