Jaeger LeCoultre 139.84.20 wrist watches news:
Today I received two very nice catalogues from WEMPE. One was dedicated tojewelry the other had over 60 high gloss pages dedicated to watches. Here is the nice little bonus:....inside of the catalogue is a little card if youwant to receive their very nice annual publication dedicated to horology. It is called "The Art of Horological Complications' and you can receive it forfree as long as you fill out the card and send it in.I have these publications from last 4 years (90 - 110) pages and consideringthe astronomical prices of some recent books dedicated to watches, this is 'cannot miss deal' by any WIS that enjoy reading about watches and checkingout high quality watch photography. (You can go to Wempe web site, findthe address of a store in your country and mail the card to them. Or just print, mail or fax my picture #2 to their NY store. This publication is printed in German as well as English)Hope some of you will find it useful. Cheers !
So, I was going through my parent's safe today and came across my grandpa's old watch. It is a Longine but I know absolutely nothing about it. On the back casing all it say is next to a little star "10K ROP Bezel Stainless Steel back" that is all the information on this watch. I don't want to take the back casing off so I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about this watch. Thank!IMAG0269.jpgIMAG0270.jpgIMAG0271.jpgIMAG0274.jpgIMAG0275.jpg
So, the wife and I are shopping in Toronto on the weekend (actually looking for a new wallet for her - least I could do after getting a new watch and new strap for me....) and we come upon a large watch retailer (Royal de Versailles - HUGE selection of watches). I suggest we pop in for a few minutes to just have a look. I am actually looking for her, although she doesn't know it. She pretty much turns up her nose at all the ladies watches, so I give up and start looking for another for me...... I have expressed my dislike for the Royal Oak here before, but along with a bunch of those and some tourbillons, I see a very plain dress watch in the Audemars Piguet display area. I move closer to have a look and see that it must be a vintage piece, which I didn't think this place normally carries. I asked for some help and was presented with a very nice, slim, 18k gold hand wound dress watch. Hours and minutes only, stick markers, simple baton hands, with a black strap and champagne c
Todays a good day, i sent my 5712 back to where i got the watch from a jeweller and told him the problem with my moon phase. He took the watch got it fixed in a day but i just got my watch yesterday. The moon phase is finally fully functional and it now clicks and rotates when i use the pusher. (sorry for the bad iPhone pics)
I love the huge magnification on the 1680 red Submariner. I mean I really love it. I'm wondering how others might feel about having that huge magnification on their watches? Remember... Rolex employees who make decisions are probably lurking...Here is an example of what I'm talking about: 1680 Red Submariner HUMONGOUS cyclops magnification - AWESOME You know what my vote will be.
