Zenith Zenith 51626 wrist watches news:
For 2015, Geneva-based avant-garde modern mechanical watch maker Urwerk presents their first ever watch for women in the Urwerk UR-106 Lotus. The Urwerk UR-106 Lotus will come in two limited edition models and follows an extensive "women in watches" marketing campaign by the brand. Let's just say that after talking about all the important female influence in and around the brand, the debut of Urwerk's first dedicated product for ladies was not a surprise. In some ways, the Urwerk UR-106 Lotus is a cliche, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. How is it a cliche? Well, on a very basic level, it follows a trend of watch makers, even in the niche part of the luxury watch industry, to now produce timepieces for both men and women. Some of these brands are those that some fans might feel have "no business making women's watches." That isn't exactly my feeling, as I think if a brand truly feels inspired to produce a watch for women, they certainly should. The issue, of course, becomes when
OK folks, while still new here, I've done a little sifting through threads and haven't seen on point discussions for what's discouraging me, so, with your forbearance, I'm going to lay out my questions and concerns. Please feel free to point me toward any threads I should be reading if I've missed them.I was in the market for a new Ball watch, but got sidetracked by Omegas and dropped all consideration of Ball as I became enamored of Omega. I stopped by a Jared yesterday as they are the only authorized distributor of Omega that I know of in the Chicago area. Seeing the Omegas up close and personal was great and reinforced my desire (lust ) for one. On the other hand, the prices stopped me in my tracks. I did not see anything for less than $5k.The most I've spent for a watch so far is $750 for my Hamilton. I'd set aside $2-3k for a Ball, but there is no way the wife will let me spend $5k. So do I have "Cadillac taste and a Ford budget"? is Jared just charging premium retail pr
Hey all.Just wanted to post some pics of the Transitional 861 I picked up. Before the pictures, I want to give a big thank you to 007Sub and pdoukas. Both TRF members gave me a lot of information, and advice on this purchase. Thank you very much, Greg and Pete I bought this watch from the second owner. He bought it in 1972 from the original owner. The only work that has been done to the watch is having the original crystal, which had a crack, replaced in 1972; a servicing in 2010; and lastly, a new Omega 1171 bracelet two weeks prior to the sale. Otherwise, the watch is as close to original as it was in 1968.The second owner was a part time flyer, who only used the watch during flights. He will be sending me a list of the places the watch has been, which I will post here. Apparently this watch has seen a lot of very cold places across Northern Canada. The bezel has faded from black to grey--a ghost bezel--which apparently is not an undesirable effect The dial has taken on an eve
Hi all,I've searched the forum and I've learned a lot about the 5205 (thanks to everyone here). I am leaning towards the 5205 darker dial and I'm requesting pics on a smaller wrist. Pics of the 5205 (any color)and comments are greatly appreciated.
I currently have a stainless DJ 36 on a jubilee, and wanted to upgrade to something a bit bigger. I started looking into the larger styles, and really fell in love with the DJ on the left. As I was researching, I see people talking about the DJ II and the DJ 41, as if they're different models, but I thought that the DJ II pictured is the 41? I think there's something I'm missing or am not understanding lol. Also, I was wondering if anyone knew what the roman numerals are called when they're outlined in gold (pictured on the right) as opposed to the solid gold numerals (on the left)? Could someone explain why there's a bar at the 9 o'clock marker on the one one the right, and why it isn't on the left? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I understand everything before I buy. Thanks guys.
