Baume & Mercier 10001 wrist watches news:
MeisterSinger produces watches that are an exercise in restrained utility. You may be familiar with the?Singular, the brand's single hand time-only watch, and at this?year's SalonQP, MeisterSinger introduced the latest addition to its niche range of single-handed watches: the Paleograph. Harkening back to the early days of watchmaking, the Paleograph uses a single button to control the chronograph function to go with its signature single-hand time display. It wasn't until after World War I that chronograph wristwatches received a second button for zero-reset, and it is this era that the Paelograph recalls.?The watch uses the MSYN13 manual winding movement with 46-hour power reserve, a caliber based on the Unitas 6497 pocket watch movement. The goal here is to combine the zeal of modern watchmakers with the know-how and tradition of robust column wheel chronographs. 2 OF 2 MeisterSinger Paleograph Blue Dial And Movement The Paleograph comes in a stainless steel case si
I recently visited the Rolex service centre to do a servicing for my old datejust, and met a guy who was claiming his airking to the cust. service. He complained that the his airking always 10+ minutes late after a day or two. He admited that he use the watch on right wrist while he is playing golf and tennis, which the service guy explained it to him that that was the cause of the problems. Anybody has any experience on this ? I m now a bit carefull not to use my expII for any sport activity ,,,, which i think sport watches should be for "sports" , do you think ? cheers :-)
:) I am sure excited about seeing all the great entries for the contest.don't forget, just a few days and we can start seeing what you madegood luck everybodydiver88:):)
Lately I have spent quite a bit of time on Japanese sites looking at these beauties. They look to me even more subtly elegant than Grand Seikos, they are slightly cheaper and the After Service seems to be in line with that of the high precision quartz which has been discussed here many times but I was wondering whether any forum member had any direct experience with them before deciding whether to try for myself. Also any information about movements etc is very welcome. If you are wondering what I am speaking of, here it is the Citizen's site:?????????????????????????CITIZEN-????????GLF
My wife purchased the Prometheus Manta Ray 1R for me. It arrived yesterday, and here it is:Some tips I've picked up over the past 24 hours:1. The watch comes with a SS Bezel and a Black Bezel. - The Bezel is changeable, but requires a 1.5 mm Hex Key (Allen wrench), which is not included with the watch.- The Bezel screws are reverse threaded (clockwise to loosen, counter-clockwise to tighten)- The Bezel screws are held in with Loctite 222 or 243 thread locking compound- Carlos Carvalho at Prometheus recommends reapplying the Loctite or checking the screws for tightness weekly- Carlos also recommends the following post for people who are considering changing out the bezel (or the bracelet) - I hope it's OK to cross-post from another forum.Changing bezel on your Prometheus Manta Ray2. The bracelet is attached to the band with 1.5 mm hex screw and pin- Like the bezel, Loctite is used and its reapplication is recommended.- Two (2) hex keys are needed to remove the screw and pin, one for e
