Movado 6060497 wrist watches news:
I've just come up with a new saying you are all free to use. "Watches are wearable art we feel comfortable putting on because they actually do something." It is the proverbial excuse us men need to put on something that can be arguably purely decorative. A drugstore Timex will tell the time, but is it nice enough to adorn? Arguably not in many instances. Is a very expensive and highly stylized Thomas Prescher watch merely an item to tell the time? Not in the least. Rather it is a serious hand-made piece of art with the added "justification" that it does something useful like tell the time. This my friends is why men like watches and aren't seen typically with jewelry. The newest addition to Swiss watch maker Thomas Prescher's Tempusvivendi collection is the Qatar watch - a timepiece pretty much for and about Qatar. Located in the Middle East, Qatar is another oil rich nation that enjoys making the most out of desert life. See in one of the images is "The Pearl." A partially man-made Isl
Well within a month of my acquiring my " Grail " 3573.50, I came across a well-known collector selling his newly-refurbished 1971 Speedy Pro. He couldn't sell it and eventually dropped the price to an unheard-of sum of $1100.That's eleven hundred dollars!!! Now if the gentleman had waited two months, he would easily have picked up a further three to four hundred for this very handsome watch. Later in the year, the watch would have fetched $1800 on that place by the sea let alone in sales corners. There is a reasonably familiar name on again, that place by the sea offering a later late-70s model for nearly $3600 in the past month or so. Naturally I wouldn't buy from said seller as Rick knows since I think their prices are inflated beyond belief. But I do wish I had the spare readies to have opted for the never to be seen again recently-refurbished bargain offer of that 1971. Even paying the import tax this end wouldn't have dented the desirable nature of the bargain that it was.How abou

I've got two watches that I need some help with. The first is a Seiko that my wife got me back in the days when she was a Seiko Rep. It's a Quartz Chronograph Sports 150:The crystal is, as you can see, pretty jacked up, and I would like to replace it with, if possible, saphire. Anyone know anyone who would be able to do such a thing? The second is a watch that I'm just looking for information on. It's a Bucherer (Swiss quartz), with a non-original band. That's all I know:The only information I can get on Bucherer is Carl Bucherer, and those seem to sell for far more than the $210.00 I paid for this watch 20 years ago.Any and all assistance is appreciated...
I was at the Dallas Ben Bridge yesterday and I noticed that they were selling Omegas at 25% off. I asked them about it and I was told that the company will no longer sell Omega in their stores nationwide and they are selling off their stock. Unfortunately they won't go lower than 25% off.
