Panerai PAM00275 wrist watches news:
One of the wonderful things about Japan is the wealth of gadgets and electronics they produce. There, they have a totally different mentality that the US when it comes to new technology or products. In Japan, it seems as though they release some items to market and watch and see what occurs. Sometimes things catch on, other times they don't, but they realize that markets are incredibly hard to gauge. The US on the other hand will take forever before releasing a product to make sure that marketing, advertising, and consumer opinion all align. And still the result is often unpredictable.Lucky for watch fans, Japan takes this same approach with the watches it makes. Japanese and European watches share very little in common. Other than accepting the quartz movement, there is probably little the Swiss or Germans took from the Japanese, but the same is not true in the reciprocal. Japanese designers and engineers are masters of borrowing styles, ideas, and implementation from other sources, a
Breitling 2011 is the 100th anniversary of naval aviation . I assumed that this means that we have been flying planes above water for 100 years? This may seem on the right. To celebrate this they release some timepieces with a special "100th anniversary of Naval Aviation" limited edition seal on the dial - in for the foundation of the same name. The first model of the celebration of 2011 is this really nice version of their shows Airwolf watch, but wolves never fly or travel in the water!
Greetings folks,I've noticed some mention of G-Shocks on this forum in the last couple of weeks, and have wondered myself why there isn't more chatter about them. They really are great watches and you get excellent value for your dollar. These are the watches I wear to the gym. It's the watch I wear when I know I'm going to get dirty - or wet. It's the "extra" watch I always toss in the bag when I travel (for wearing at the beach etc.). They're accurate, tough, reliable, functional, who-cares-what-happens-to-it watches. You just can't beat 'em for value. And, honestly, for me they fit the definition of the term "tool watch" far more than many other makers' so-called tool watches (and we all know who they are).I know...I know....these forums are really meant for watches with moving parts. And G's don't have moving parts. But I'd be willing to bet that there a lot of "closet" G-collectors out there - or at least lots and lots of folks that have at least one. I love 'em! They can
Should be here in a few days from DaivdSW, thanks for the transaction!
I love the history of Panerai - is there any other manufacturer that produces such a close and authentic version of the original watches that the modern equivilants are based on?The only reason I own this watch is due to falling in love with the picture behind it of the original beaten and battered 1950's piece that I'd seen and drooled over countless times previously.I was very close to purchasing a Pam372 as at the time that was the closest thing I could find to the picture I'd fallen hopelessly in love with! Then to my utter joy in 2016 Panerai released a limited edition (ref 673) tribute to the very watch I'd dreamed of for so long. I actually remember feeling a little sick when I saw it for the first time I was so excited.Anyway, needles to say I didn't need much persuading when I eventually managed to find an AD that had one available. This ones definitely a keeper for me - I still get a little buzz every time I put her on the wrist for the day. Thanks for allowing me to share my lo
