Rather handsome, I enjoy how this new piece from Ferragamo mixes sport and sophistication. The mainstay piece for Ferragamo timepieces is the F-80 watch collection. It is a very impressive design that I think has been dismissed by a lot of serious watch guys. This new Ferragamo model is the 1898 Moonphase Chronograph with a good look and pitifully underwhelming name.Do I need to go on with another rant on how the watch industry needs to stop naming their own watches? There are literally only a handful of brands that know properly title and market their watches. With such cleverness in design, how is there so little effort put into simple things like words. Ferragamo for example is a serious fashion industry name - really into image and classiness, and all that good stuff that sells clothing. Help needed for 196x/197x IWC identification
Hi,I bought this old IWC 2 years ago. I just lost the backcase of it while riding my bike and had no chance to find it back. It was a clipped transparent backcase (i don't know whether this was the original back case)In order to repair it, I would like to find a spare backcase. The issue is I don't even know the reference/name of this watch. Some recent finds. Gruen and Elgin.
Here¡¯s a tasty piece of Gruen bling. Nice chunky hooded lugs, an OK dial, all motivated by my favorite Gruen 335 movement.The only this missing in my book is the USA stamp on the plates. This one says Unadjusted so I¡¯m assuming it was born in Switzerland. Very same movement that was made in Cincinnati.Next is a tiny Elgin with a grade 554 movement. Style wise it looks like a cousin of my Waterproof Sportwatch.Which leaves the 554 unexplained since it didn¡¯t show up until years later. I¡¯m thinking it should be sporting a 519 or maybe a 524 from the 20¡¯s. Maybe Doug has seen this one in his ad searches.Joel

Hi, does nayone no anything about this timepiece, I've been told by a friend that he think sit's from around 1914, but Ihave no idea how to get to the movement, it looks like the front may have to come out to do that and as it's not my watch I don't want to risk it.
