Girard Perregaux 7000MB wrist watches news:
Finally a boat themed watch that people will be comfortable using on a boat. Since its inception long ago, the IWC Portuguese watch was meant as a nautical companion. As its popularity and luxury level grew, so did people's reluctance to subject their beautiful IWC Portuguese watches to the elements. For for 2010 IWC has released a more sporty, but no less luxurious form of the Portuguese watch known and the Yacht Club Chronograph. It is instantly recognizable as a Portuguese but clearly has a nice sporty elegance to it. Not aggressive in anyway, but tastefully functional - exactly the reason people prefer Portuguese watches. Differences between the standard Portuguese watches and the Yacht Club are subtle, but apparently. Notably are the colorations on the dial, the luminant on the hands, and of course the rubber straps. The case has also been beefed up a bit and there are now crown guards and redesigned chronograph pushers. Case size is 45.4mm wide (about 14.5mm?thick)?and it is wate
Just arrived the Wilson Watch Works 2k.I'm digging it: 45mm, great case back, sterile dial, great lume.Swiss ETA 2842-2 gold-plated mvtAs usual, I've switched to a strap:
Just got this in todayNext to my LUM-TEC M1
I was at my friendly Rolex AD and looked at his other cases and ran across the new 2007 Breitling Superocean Heritage 46mm with rubber strap ..... It is really really nice. Here a link to the website. Look under heading model, new 07.breitling/en
I'm looking to buy a 5035 model Annual Calendar (White or Cream dial in Yellow Gold).Ideally (like everyone) I'd like to get a mint condition watch w/ box, papers & service history for the minimum possible price (going rate retail seems to be just over $20k USD - so you know, less than that :) ).Apart from having a running search on chrono24 and waiting for a trusted seller to put one up looking for a quick sale, what are the best forums / sites to keep an eye on for a 'good buy'?I'm sure someone would suggest auction, so I'd be interested in knowing how people who do buy watches at auction manage the risk - how do you know you're not getting a lemon?(Being that I'm in Australia (where there are about 5 PP dealers nationwide), popping down to the local Prestige watch auction-house isn't exactly an option)Finally, does anyone have a feel for what these are worth when you find someone who wants a quick sale? (eg. what price would you expect to get from your local watch trader?)Thanks
