Similarity among sports
I've noticed, as of late, how Rolex is starting to update some models of their sports watches. The yacht-master for one, used to be nothing more than a Sub w/a one piece metal bezel. Now it's a completely different watch, for better or worse. The GMT is now a true Sub w/an extra hand, fatter case plus a new clasp. Good show! Before it was a slimmer Sub w/an extra hand. Go figure. Wait, wasn't the Explorer a GMT with a one piece metal bezel? Or was it the other way around? I really hope they continue to update. BTW, Omega has a whole bunch of different Seamaster variants but they are all still Seamasters. What gives?Just kiddingMike

Finished a Couple of Nice Elgin Trench Watches This Week
Just sharing (again).I finished a couple of pretty nice Elgin Trench Watches this week.First one is a 1917 Elgin with 7 jewels, B&B "Royal" gold filled semi-hermetic case with an offset crown (that is huge), original RED 12 dial (no hairlines), spade hands, big 16mm lugs.A few before/after of the case.Second one is a 1914 Elgin with 7 jewels, George Stockwell 9k solid gold case (double hinged), original Elgin military dial (no hairlines), big size 0s, Bund Strap.

And which speaks more to you? The survivor is such a rare watch but it's also a late model so I'm not very sure. I own a ROO Elephant and Rolex Daytona Any other input would be appreciated.

Anyone Disappointed by Nesbit's
Hello all. New member here.Has anyone been disappointed by Nesbit's in Seattle?I just received my SMP back from service and was a little disappointed by the refinishing. I know there's controversy over refinishing. To polish or not to polish, that is the question. I'm not talking about a vintage sword hand 300. This is a 2220.80 Co-Axial SMP.I live in the NE area and after reading several posts on different sites about the terrible service from Omega in NJ, and reading many good things about Nesbit's in WA, I decided to ship my SMP across the country.I cannot say enough about the customer service. Jan is wonderful! She took the time answers all of my emails and questions.I purchased the timepiece second hand and although it had a pedigree I questioned the authenticity of the date wheel. Nesbit's authenticated the date wheel, and they still replaced it at no additional cost. That my friends is customer service!Herein lies my issue.
