- Sorry, this feels like a toy watch. One star for design, but quality is lacking. Would rather pay 10 times the amount and get a watch with some substance. You get what you pay for.

Jaeger LeCoultre 143.84.2 wrist watches news:
I inherited my fathers 40 year old gold Geneve . It was presented to him by the firm he worked for in the UK. He never wore it and I never have after owning for 9 years . I decided to wear it about 2 months ago but to my dismay it wouldn't run . I had it cleaned and oiled and it runs for 2 or 3 hours then stops till I wind it back up and shake it. Any Idea's what the problem is? When I get this watch sorted out what could I expect for accuracy?
Happy Sunday to all...I recently inherited a vintage Piaget man's dress watch.I am told it has a broken balance staff, which is no longer available to procure for repair/replacement.Is this part available, and can anyone tell me about the history or heritage of this model from Piaget? Many thanks in advance....LawrenceIMG_0183.jpgIMG_0180.jpg

Is the 2870 undervalued or not? They seem to be going for only 20 - 30G (on a good day. It seems they should be in the 50-100G range. First of all they are made by AP. They are historic, being the first automatic and thinnest tourbillon made at the time. And just being a tourbillon seems like it should make it more expensive. It has been said they are difficult to work on, but so are many other watches. What am I missing in the value equation?Thank you so much for your input.
I only visit two AD's, both local. But I have only seen staff wearing a Rolex on one occasion, and she was wearing an older reference Air-King.Just curious, do the staff at your AD's wear Rolex watches in the store? Thanks.
