Jaeger LeCoultre 153.84.70 wrist watches news:
I collect pre-1950 Hamiltons almost exclusively. Did the Hamilton factory offer black dials or were these done later individually?I have several black dials, so was curious. Thanks
It's been a while since we've had a contest on Watch Talk, so let's start off November right! To enter yourself in this contest, simply post a reply in this thread. Anyone can enter! The winner will receive the 3 straps pictured below: 20mm Grey Zulu, 20mm Striped NATO, 18mm Olive NATO.That's right, all you've got to do is post in this thread, and you'll be entered to win the straps shown above! We will cover the shipping as well, even internationally. If you win the contest and want to include some extra straps, just pay for the extra straps and we will ship them together with the winning package with free postage for everything. All members who reply to this thread will be entered in the contest unless they indicate otherwise (if they just want to post a reply, but don't want to be entered). All entrants will then be assigned a number (chronologically, based on their post order), and a random-number-picker will decide the winner. You may reply to this thread more than once, but only o
I have always been a fan of fine timepieces but could never really afford to start a collection. Finally, I have a few extra bucks. I thought I would try and stay in the sub $1000 range to find what I really like in a watch. I have a Tissot PRC200 and a Magarette on the way. Considering a Lum-tec (need a tough, sporty watch) and a Hamilton. I think that will give me a nice starting base without breaking the bank. Then, I can go from there. Any advice is appreciated. Brands, styles, where to shop, etc...Thanks in advance.
Hey guys...I am thinking of getting a new one for my collection...I am between the new Aqua Terra with 8501 calibre and the Rolex Submariner....which one and why do you think???
I've been thinking about the new blue Omega AT 8500 that is showcased in Skyfall (image below taken from the internets). So I went to the boutique to try it on while sporting my own AP 15300. I leave feeling deflated about the Omega. I know its an apples and oranges comparison -- perhaps I should have worn another watch to avoid the comparison. I still may get the Omega, but my AP is just perfection. Has AP spoiled me for other brands!? Anyone else ever have an experience like this?
