In association with the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, Hublot unveils the first diver’s watch able to withstand the pressure exerted at a depth of 4,000 meters, or about 13,120 feet. Hublot describes it as a symbolic watch that pushes the limits of what is is rational and possible. The watch required 18 months of research, development and testing to complete. For the first time, the famous Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, with the Institut Oc¨¦anographique Fondation Albert 1st Prince de Monaco – names well known in the fields of marine studies, research and conservation – have agreed to be associated with a watch. I am looking at a very nice 16613 M serial on Chrono 24. I actually visited the store in New York and it seemed reputable. Any experience? The dealer is "AVI JEWELERS", one of "a million" dealers on 47th street in New York City. Comes with matching warranty card. Also if I purchase, how do I verify its authenticity? Do I just walk up the street to Rolex and ask them to verify?? or to an AD? Please share your experience. Thank you.
Hi all, Just looking for help for my Orbita Futura Watch Winder (produced for Jacob & Co). The AC plug has gone missing and I've purchased a 6V 800 mA after market replacement (I got the specifications from the Orbita website), but does anyone know if the charger is supposed to be centre negative, or centre positive (as I can reverse the polarity on my charger). Many thanks.
Of all the brands I collect, I've never seen another AP IRL out in the wild. I'm not talking about GTGs or even fellow WIS - even then there aren't many. Sure you see Ambassadors and celebrities alike wearing APs but usually on TV or print. Rolexes seem as plentiful as the stars in the sky, Omegas abound like fish in the sea, Pateks pop up once in a blue moon, Breguet, JLC, IWC, Blancpain, GP, VC, etc... I've seen them all in the wild... all but another AP. Mind you, I love individuality but I'd have thought I'd have run into at least one up to this point? I must be hanging in the wrong circles.
Called my local AD earlier today to ask about delivery time, price and availability for the 5711/1A.Was told that they received one (1) last month, that they have at present a white dial one in stock, and that they cannot confirm availability ever again unless they talk to PP.They very politely refused even to accept a reservation with immediate deposit paid unless they first confirm with PP that the specific model will continue to be produced. They stressed that with the Basel 2014 show coming up, they do not know at all if they will receive again the specific piece. Sounds very strange to me, this is a relatively basic but highly elegant and a unique design of the brand...They asked me to call again next week in order to confirm future availability. Was provided a (very good) price, so keeping fingers crossed that Patek will keep this beauty in the lineup hopefully in a couple of months I can have one (considered gold versions but they are quite flashy for my daily work environment).
