Movado 0605973 wrist watches news:
Hey everyone,I was at my AD today & he mentioned he just got a new Stainless GMT II in. He wanted to know if I wanted it before putting it out. I told him I'm not, but I seem to remember someone here was looking for one still, so told him to let me check & get back to him. Anyone here looking for one & can't get one from their local dealer? If so, let me know & I'd be happy to put you in contact. He'll ship anywhere in the 48 states, and if you're not in Ga., you'll save the sales tax.I doubt he'd discount it as they're still popular, so figure it will be MSRP. Of course you're free to try to wheel & deal directly with him - but don't expect much there
Hello all Does anyone know if it's possible to put a Turn O Graph bezel onto a 36mm case to replace a fixed fluted bezel? Is it too far outside the bounds of proper watch decorum? Thanks.Mike
We just returned from a trip to Washington DC. Hotter than Hades, but had a great time. The top images are of a Roy Lichtenstein sculpture located in the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden between Constitution Avenue and Madison Drive. As I was covering one eye to see the differences in perspectives of the house, my wife snapped a watch pict of my GMT-C.The images below are of my GMT-C sitting on top of a Boeing 747 front landing wheel assembly. Needless to say, the front wheel is larger in diameter than I am tall. The third row of images are of Mercury Friendship 7 capsule that John Glen climbed into on February 20th, 1962 while wearing the first Swiss watch that went into space. The particular story of my involvement on re-discovering the first Swiss watch in space is located here. The last row is the Smithsonian description of Mercury Friendship 7 and a background image of the Capitol steps. A great family trip-Sheldon
So a prevoius post got me thinking, is it normal to have ceratin movement on the lugs on the ROO? Mine has a small gap as you cam see in the pic. Based on the positon the gap is either that or nothing, I got my OEM strap installed locally and now wonder if it was not properly installed.
So I've read thru a number of threads about adding a strap to your RO and the options. Here's what I've done and my questions.I have the RO Day and Date, which I love by the way! Bought the conversion kit from APBands along with a black strap. The plots took a lot of coercion to get in and that made me quite nervous but worked in the end. The strap I received looks great from a distance but the quality is not what I'd like. Also, the deployant buckle doesn't really work, doesn't match the watch closely, etc. Net - I want something more fitting for the watch.I spoke to the AP boutique in NYC and they can sell me the following:- black alligator strap w/ white stitch (spc order) 26.5 / 18 (I believe these are the rt dimensions per another thread)- SS deployant buckle They have told me they do NOT sell plots for the RO, presumably b/c they come with the watches that OEM straps are made for (precious metals). They also said they do NOT sell a rubber strap for the RO. The guy on the
