Maurice Lacroix PT6148-SS001-230 wrist watches news:
I have noticed before that the Oyster bracelet on my 14060M tapers, but it just occurred to me that this means that each link is unique, and in order to make the bracelet, Rolex must manufacture at least 5 different link sizes, which no doubt makes the bracelet more expensive. Same thing with the cases, the 16610 and 14060M (as far as I know) do not use the same case. I think this makes Rolex special, each model is unique and they don't use interchangeable case parts to keep production costs down. Something to thing about when people bash the Rolex bracelet for being cheaply made.Thoughts?
I changed for the first time a battery in one of my Casio Edifice watches (great battery life, almost seven years )And my big surprise was that it has a Miyota movement, I thought that Casio made it's movements...Maybe for beign an analog one? does the digitals are made by somebody else?I think that the whole "Casio Computer Corp." was because they make the circuitry and all the quartz stuffso maybe they are not a true manufacturer I opened all the others to check if the more modern ones has Miyota too, and indeed they have...
Wondering if any 1.4mm screwdriver will do for the bracelet screws on a RO? In other words, no need to use a cut-out type screw driver as the 1.6mm used for Panerais and Rolex? As for the case back which screw driver is suitable (width) and is an H-style screwdriver needed in addition, like those used for Hublots?Input is appreciated
I've been out of the loop on watches for a couple months as work has been way busy and my spare-time has been spent on my other addiction: motorcycles. So I stopped by a local jeweler the other day to look at a pre-owned Sea-Dweller (not the Deepsea) I had seen on their website. As I walk in the door, I'm greeted by a complete surprise...the jeweler is now an Omega AD!!! I had a great conversation with the manager and he was excited to offer Omega. He said it was difficult to get the dealership since Omega is moving to the boutique model. He was even more excited to see someone walk in who was wearing an Omega. In any event, he was very well stocked with so many nice watches from the Seamasters to Speedmaster to AquaTerra's to a Skyfall...which I didn't pick up on right away that it was the new Bond watch (I know...I know...) I was too overwhelmed at finally getting my hands on my PO dream watch to notice. On my way out, he gave me a catalog and it has of course found its way int
Do they work well with one another?
