Jaeger LeCoultre Q178T470 wrist watches news:
Those of you who read the Wall Street Journal may have received your annual Watch supplement with your paper last Friday for the weekend. The supplement on watches is related to the Madison Avenue Watch Week in New York, and I was proud to have contributed the feature article which is on watch collectors.Working with the Wall Street Journal was a really fulfilling experience and for those who don't get the paper or didn't see it, you can see the full supplement and read my feature article in the PDF below. Those of you in New York City should further check out Watch Week 2013.Read Ariel Adams' Watch Collector Article In the Wall Street Journal
Can anyone provide information on this pocketwatch movement, i.e, Calibre, when introduced, characteristics, etc.Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Early start this morning. Already set my Royal Oak to EST. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358162516.588287.jpgSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Watches are the new currency!
for those who have the oem deployant on the speedy, does the curve fit perfectly on the round edge of ur wrist, or does the end of the enclosure end up digging in cuz the length doesn't quite line up?i briefly tried on a fake version awhile back, seem to recall the fit was not as flat and comfortable as i had hoped. ditched the idea and went with a double deployant.the double's placement is much better and doesn't dig into the wrist.... however it does add considerable more bulk between the strap and skin, far more than the omega deployant.wanted to hear of others' experiences, as I'm contemplating giving it another go...perhaps i was too hasty the first time around.
Last week, I attended a showing at the one and only Panerai AD in Arizona. The president of Panerai North America was there, or so I was told. The purpose was to showcase the new Due line of watches from Panerai. A week or two prior, the AD had asked their customers to loan them any special edition watches from their collections. On hand were more than 100 unique timepieces. Of particular note, were a few vintage pieces that were amazing. This watch is from 1943 and is in incredible condition:The second coolest piece (IMO) was this watch from 1961. Note the welded on lugs:And finally, there was this set consisting of a wrist-worn compass and depth gauge. Very cool:It was a fun evening.
