While nearly every watch brand exhibiting at Baselworld puts forth at least one notable headliner piece each year, those of us who cover the industry often find many of the new offerings to be somewhat on the predictable side. Negotiating the price of a watch.
Ok, I had a great experience when I bought my wifes Patek last month. I am the type of customer who wants the seller to tell me the great price, and I either bite or not. With the Patek, it was listed high, I talked to him 3 times and on the 3rd time, he told me the price I was willing to pay, ans I bought. Now I am interested in a Ulysse Nardin Maxi. On my 5th e-mail, the guy only keeps telling me I need "come up to the market". He wont state a price, so I am done with him. Bottom line is, I want the lowest price, he wants the highest price, and neither will blink first. I however believe it is the sellers responsibility to blink first. In this case, the willingness not to link 1st is costing him an easy sale. All I ask it to be given a fair price we can both live with.

My relatively new PO died :(
Well I bought my PO from a local AD less than a year ago and something has gone wrong with the winding mechanism.I wear this watch at least 4 days a week at work and usually it will stop on my days of as my PAM 312 gets all the love.I noticed a couple weeks ago it seemed to be stopping within a day of being taken off. Then a few days ago it would no longer stay on through the night after being worn all day.Now it will wind, but it starts and stops sporadically and the crown will slightly roll back the other direction after being wound.I've sent it in for warranty service, but my dealer says it's a 4-6 week turnaround. Any idea what's wrong? I'm just curious as I won't know for almost two months what happened to it :(It's a 2201.5 I think.

Wedding Watch
Got married earlier this year and wore my Patek Philippe Nautilus to mark the occasion. Has anyone else tied the knot while wearing a Patek? Or any nice watch for that matter.

Going down the PM route...
Just when I thought I had achieved perfection with my collection, I've gotten the itch to add another... Thankfully I'm surrounded by a bunch of enablers here who won't judge me for my failings. I have my eye on a PM piece this time around (the 116519ln to be specific) and I find myself stuck -- unable to act -- as I consider the price of entry into the PM club.I've got the cash to do it, so this isn't an issue of stretching myself too thin.
