Jaeger LeCoultre 166.84.20 wrist watches news:
Hello all! Just curious about your personal opinions and preferences about the White Gold versus Yellow Gold version of the Day Date Presidential. Please, no Platinum plugging!I'm curious as to what you think about wearability, practicality, and just personal style.I know where I stand, and if I were smart enough to figure out how to post a poll on this thread, I certainly would. My personal choice would be for the White Gold version, all else equal. I like the understated elegance and low-profile of the WG version - only real Rolex people would know it is solid 18K gold. The YG just screams attention too much to me.Plus the WG version is more rare than the YG version, in my experience. That, to me, makes it more unique and coveted. So, if you had the choice, which would you choose, and why? Thanks!
Hey guys !For the past few months I have been obsessed with obtaining the GIANT size 6s trench watches. These have always been an Elgin (4 in three months) but this time it's an ILLINOIS!This is a transition period watch, the movement pre-dates the case by around 30 years. The movement is a grade 144, lever set, sn 590222, 15 jewels.Somebody did a VERY nice job cutting out the lever set slot on the case, very professional job!The integrated stem has a modified size .30 die thread, it was square at one point, very professional job as well.Nice Roman numeral enamel dial with an outer chapter of minute markers. The Philadelphia "Silverode" trench case measures a whopping 42mm lug to lug and 38mm without the crown.I removed some deep scratches from the case and put that mirror like finish on it once again.I completely took the movement apart and cleaned it.The old mainspring was not broken but I installed a brand new one anyway, pretty much everything gets a brand new spring these days.I also
My wife gave me a Hamilton Riva Chrono for my marriage, but I already owned an automatic Hamilton watch (see attached picture), but I don't know the model name. It has a glass porthole on the back. I had it in 1995 for my PhD.Seeking in modern catalog, it seems very similiar to a Khaki Field Automatic.Does anyone know the name of this model?
Hello everybody,I¡¯m thinking to buy a Seamaster Planet Ocean with the orange leather Bracelet but don¡¯t know what size. I tried the Breitling Super Ocean Heritage who has a 46mm case and liked the size of the case! I would appreciate any input on rather to go with the 42mm case or the XL. Like I said before I liked the 46mm Breitling but never saw or tried the Omega XL (45mm) and since I probably will order the watch it would be nice to get your opinions especially how the sizes will feel at the wrist. If you could post pics of your Planet Ocean as well that would be awesome! Thanks a lot in advance
Thoughts? Thinking of adding it to my collection. Thanks.
