The watch is totally gorgeous and very sparkly. The band was very large but I just have to remove some extra links and it will be perfect. This is not for everyday, special occasion only. The watch iself seems to be very reliable.

GMTIIC in the dark (lots of images)...
I never thought the fat hands and maxi dial could make such a difference. I always loved the aesthetic difference...but wasn't 100% sold on it being a truly functional upgrade vs. a cosmetic one. I am now a believer!!! Anyway, I got a little crazy with the lume shots last night. I love how the RRR on the rehaut lights up from the maxi dial's hour plots! You'll also note about an 8 sec shutter speed :)Couple in the light of day:And for extra credit...can anyone name the other two in this pic?

soooooo i received a package in the post today (and yes i'm sorry for the crappy iphone photos)The new panerai 514 47mm steel 1940 case with the hand wound p3000 movement. First impression, suddenly it's panerai almost making a sensible normalish watch.I tend to wear only the 47mm models (with one exception) so here it is with the rest of the collectionFor a 47mm panerai it's thin, here is it compared to the 448the 372and the 368Also the face is the same size as the 448, i was expecting it to much more similar to the 372 as the cases are a similar designWhen i first saw the press release photos, i wasn't that impressed, i didn't like the date, i wasn't sure about the subdial. But actually what they've made is a very wearable everyday panerai, something with all the grace and simple design of panerai but in a more usual format. Has anyone put their Skydweller on a Jubilee? On my list for 2018 is the SD (SS) and I have a spare Jubilee (63200) that I am thinking might be a cool fit for it. I have yet to see any pics online of the SD on a jubilee......
