Jaeger LeCoultre Jaeger LeCoultre 1630 wrist watches news:
Zenith is in it for the long haul here at Baselworld 2015. At least that’s what one can deduce from its latest offering, the Elite 6150. The Elite line is Zenith’s slimmer, dressier offering, and with the 6150’s more-than-100-hour power reserve, it’s almost guaranteed to be an enduring benchmark. The new Elite 6150 comes in a 42 mm stainless-steel case – a size that Zenith plans to make standard for the line. The case is polished throughout with tapered lugs that hopefully make this wear smaller than it is. The main attraction is the silver-toned dial. Not only is it cambered, but it also has feuille hands (even a feuille-shaped second hand) and matching leaf-shaped hour markers. The devil is in the details, and details, good or bad, are more pronounced in simple designs (which is why it’s crucial to get them right.) 1 OF 1 Without a doubt, the new Elite’s pebble architecture has vintage nuances – like any watch that seems t
Imagine an entire store dedicated to just A. Lange & Söhne timepieces, in a mall near you. The folks in Costa Mesa, California, can now claim to have just that, as Lange has opened up its fourth boutique in the United States inside the well-known South Coast Plaza. The 925 square foot shrine to Saxon watchmaking joins boutiques in Palm Beach, New York, and Miami, representing the West Coast in what is one of the highest income areas, in a mall that is, frankly, unlike many other malls around the world. 1 OF 19 The Lange boutique in Costa Mesa is currently open, and we were there for the grand opening event in late October. I am new to the forum and to Hamilton. I posted my first thread a week ago about wanting to buy a Khaki King. Well I ended up with a Navy GMT and so far I'm really enjoying the watch. It has a black dial and a black rubber strap and it's very comfortable....probably the most comfortable watch I've ever worn. The watch seems to be very well made, but on the lighter side compared to my Tag 6000....most likely due to the rubber strap vs a metal one. I really like the 42mm size, it's perfect for my 7" wrist. So far the watch keeps good time. It's lost about 7 seconds in 7 days. My Tag would be about 4 minutes slow by now, so this is a welcomed change in accuracy. Glad I found this site and stumbled onto the Hamilton brand.Sorry I don't have a camera at the moment to post a picture. I'll try to post one in the near future.Greg
For some reason I've been on a vintage kick lately and I'm pretty set on adding something vintage on a leather strap in the >$100 range. (Of course I can change the strap after I get it so that's not really a concern. I just don't have anything on leather right now and I love the way it looks.) Initially I was looking at the Swiss automatic Hamiltons but when I was perusing the eBays I came across several Tissot Seastar Automatics from the '60s and '70s that I really like.My understanding is that those are from a time when Tissot was considered an "entry level" Swiss brand (more so than now, at least), but were the Seastars good watches? Does anyone have one?Are there any other cheap automatic vintage watches I should be on the lookout for?
Ok, I know this will be controversial but what the heck. I know this is a sub-forum of Rolex, so I expect there to be a lot of love for sports patek watches. However, the aquanaut/nautilus designs seem straight 1970's to me. I love the calatravas and complication pateks, but I don't have the love for the sports models. They're stealthy, I guess, and have the solid patek movement - but they look dated to me, and I'd never jump off the high-dive with such an expensive watch like I would with my subc. I know it's just personal preference, and I didn't even know there were patek sports models until I joined the forum. Do folks use these models in the ocean/pool or are they more likely to be desk divers than even the rolexes. I'm not trying to offend, just trying to understand.
