- I purchased if for a friend, and she loves it. It's very hard to see the clock which is too bad because when you can see it it is too cute! The whole watch is absolutely lovely just like all Victoria's jewelry!

Hey guys!I just realized that I have several Ingersoll Trench Watches right now, ALL with a different shrapnel guard.Thought that I'd share some pictures.........................The RED 12 Ingersolls are a bit harder to come by when compared to the more common black dials. These trench watches are pretty big measuring about 42mm lug to lug and 39.5mm without the original factory crowns. These are "dollar watches" so they are not jeweled. The dials are made of paper ! ! ! !Amazing that a paper dial can last about 97 years, most metal dials don't age this well! The first guard is a Mealy Manufacturing "DUO" (somewhat rare guard)The second guard is a Mealy Manufacturing "USA" (very rare guard)The third guard is a Sussfeld, Lorsch & Company "DRED-NOT" (extremely rare guard)Adam found an advert for the "DRED-NOT" from October 1918, I've had this guard for years but I never knew what it was or what watch it was designed for.The "DRED-NOT" is a bit different, it gets fitted into the bezel of
I should get it by the end of the week, I'll keep you posted.
Psyched to have another AP in the stable. I looked in to a birth year vintage Rolex but couldn't find anything to get excited about other than some really spendy 6263s. I seriously considered a PP 5711 but didn't want another 3 hand watch. I tried one on at the AD and it was a stunning piece. The finish of the case and bracelet is amazing. I may get one some day when I can pony up for the chrono version. In any case, I'll have a delivery from DavidSW tomorrow am. Can't wait. Pics to come.
Really regretted having sold my hulk but it had a big dent on the side. Was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to buy another!with its older brotherThanks for looking
