Jaeger LeCoultre Q2668410 wrist watches news:
Can anyone tell me how tough the black coating (DLC) is on the BC4 Chronograph? I'm thinking of my first Oris since school days (in the '50s!) and love the lines of the BC4, and its leather strap. I wonder if the black surface will scratch and become unsightly....? It is one big hunk of metal!
When I took the newly acquired 9937 to my watchmaker to have the bracelet polished, I asked him if he'd slap it on his accuracy tester (not sure of the actual term for it?) to see how it ran. Depending on position, it ranged anywhere from something like -4 to +10 a day. Nothing too horrible I guess.Well, I was wearing my Oris, and asked if he'd test it too. Mind you, I bought the watch new, and it has never been regulated.Crown up, it measured about +3, crown down it was like -4Lying flat, it measured.....dead even.Even my watchmaker commented on how impressive that was, and remarked on the quality of the watch itself.Anyways, just thought I'd share. Way to go Oris.
I just received the Yellow Tail in the mail to go along with my Blue Fin.It's a little rough still, and needs a servicing. They both need a bracelet replacement. I'm thinking mesh for the blue, and black rubber oyster strap for the yellow.Sorry for the bad picture quality!
Help the National Watch & Clock Museum make it happen for 'Wake Up!' on IndiegogoI'm writing to let you know about 'Wake Up!'The Museum has chosen to explore the important (and sometimes annoying) role that alarm clocks play in our daily lives from their earliest versions to the most modern, buzzing, rolling, talking, types found on your nightstand today. We think this is going to be a really fun way to examine how these timepieces have come to affect our daily lives and changed over time.Take a moment to check it out on Indiegogo and also share it with your friends. All the tools are there. Get perks, make a contribution, or simply follow updates. If enough of us get behind it, we can make 'Wake Up!' happen.Wake Up! IndiegogoI hope you¡¯ll support our efforts! Thanks,Noel PoirierMr. Noel B. I'm starting to see the new black Seamaster Bond (not the Bond branded) style. What a nice watch. Probably not as nice as the 2254, but getting closer than that nasty blue thing.I have to say I hate the Bond bracelet. The SMP I saw in OC had the Speedy bracelet.
