Jaeger LeCoultre Q2028440 wrist watches news:
Does anyone ever act on impulse and buy without researching?I just did and hope I did okay. I bought a Hamilton Lee for $300 in 10k ygf (the name and price are clickable).Usually I look at Rene's book, then at Will's site, then poke around this forum, but when there is a Buy It Now staring you in the face, sometime you just need to buy first and ask questions later. On the Lee's, it seems that there are some dials that are hammered and some that are smooth. Are both correct? Also, it seems like this one has a few bite marks on the corners of the back, but the lugs looks decent.Any thoughts? Was my impulse buy a decent one. -Chris
I'd bought her watch maybe less than a year ago, mine arrived sometime last month. Great to have a partner who shares my love for watches! Her watch is a quartz, both me and the AD went blue in the face extolling the virtues of mechanical timekeeping; cut no ice whatsoever.Being older and maybe a little wiser, I staged a strategic retreat, the AD battled on; poor fellow still bears some scars from that debate!
About a year ago, I had my SMP serviced. Since then it has been more accurate than either Rolex.Unfortunately I haven't worn it as much since joining the Rolex owner ranks, but I became nostalgic a few weeks ago after someone posted a thread about his 36mm SMP. I'm not a huge regulation guy, but last Thursday, I set my watch to time.gov and today (5 days later), my watch was less than 3 seconds fast!I'd say that's pretty good!
Has anyone experience with refurbishing watchcase by Patek?I consider to refurbish my Nautilus by Patek, it is in a bad condition. Two question about this:1. How much did Patek charge for refurbishing watchcase (in line with .patek/en/client-service/service-costs)?2. How was the result? Thanks in advance!
For me it is the crownguard.
