_____________The 2009 NYC GTG Report___ DAY 2 _______(pre-GTG activities)___________FRIDAY - May 15th 2009Day 2 started relatively early. My Patek AD Janos from Yamron Jewelers and I had a meeting with folks at Henri Stern Watch Agency (Patek USA) at 10:30 AM.In one word - this visit was 'AMAZING" and I will dedicate a separate thread with many pictures dedicated to this event later. In short - we were given a grand tour of 'every office' and repair room of HSWA by their regional sales manager - Mr. Kevin Unger. After a wonderful lunch to which we were treated by HSWA in a fine Manhattan steakhouse, I was also fortunate to meetthe PP USA president, then later hold in my hands some very rare watches......and was alsoable to play with and try on almost all new models introduced in Basel 2009. What a day for a Patek aficionado like me !!But as I said...more about this wonderful visit later in a special report coming up a few days later. After the HSWA visit it was time to meet with our friend
...do people recommend to give a Diver.I know the manual says 30 - but have read online people suggesting much less. Can it cause any damage or is the mechanism disengaged once fully wound?Cheers!
I've been omegaless for a couple of years,so I decided to add one again. After owning two seamasters and a planet ocean I thought it was time to try a speedy. It truly is a classic, feels great on the wrist,so comfortable.I can't believe it took me so long to get around to it.I think it rounds of my small collection well.
Where does the 5980 stand? I think this was the reason they discontinued the 5980. What does the future hold for this classic first in house chrono? Steel watches have hold up their value in the past. Or too many floating around? What do you guys think?
