Longines L3.276.4.16.6 wrist watches news:
When it comes to cars and watches, there's a definite link. For some brands (be it car or watch) that linkage can be a bit more tenuous, and may consist of a logo swap. For the folks over at Rebellion?though, they're taking it to a whole different level. For starters, they've actually got a racing team - one that raced in the Le Mans Series Championship (2011) and FIA World Endurance Trophy for Privateers (2012). This means they're used to creating high-end, precision, lightweight components for their cars. From what I can see of their latest watch, it seems their horology follows in the same footsteps. The 540 Magnum Tourbillon makes liberal use of materials commonly found in race cars: magnesium; aluminum; titanium; and carbon fiber. Surprisingly, these materials show up in the movement. The mainplate is made of aluminum, while the 3/4 back plate is made from carbon fiber. I've seen plenty of CF dials and even cases, but this is the first time I recall seeing the material used within
You're about to go out of the country on a vacation or business trip. Which watch do you choose to wear? Your favorite? Your least expensive one? The most useful watch (tool vs. dress)? Now assuming you only want to take one watch, which one do you go with?
Here's what i'm talking aboutIt runs fine although loses about a minute a week. Now here's the thing.. I really like the watch BUT would it need a major service/repair to line up the hand and maybe bring the accuracy up a bit? It's a keeper for me no matter what but I'd like to do a couple of mods on it to really make it unique if the repair costs aren't going to put me in the poorhouse as it's got the DD 2020 module in it!Otherwise I'll just keep it as one of my work rotation.thanks Steve
i spent on all my other watches when all i want to wear is this one HAGWE
Hi guys, a new comer to the Patek world, I really enjoy the design and fit of the Patek watches. As some might know, I am currently wearing a 5167A as my daily beater. And I also have a 5235G just arrived 2 days ago. Next week, I am expecting to receive my long waited 5712/1A. I originally plan to acquire 5726/1A or 5726A then 5980R from AD (depending on availability). But after having 3 PPs in 4 months. I started wondering if I do want more than 2 Nautilus (I will have a 5711/1A coming early next yr). Should I widen my scope to have some traditional styles? I currently have AP 15202ST, PP 5130P, 5270G (BLK), 5960/1A and 5524G in mind. I probably will not consider buy a GC watch in the very near future. Your advices are well appreciated.
