Jaquet Droz is about to officially announce their new automata-based minute repeater watch called The Bird Repeater. Yup, that's right. Last March during Basel I got to view a computer rendering animation of the watch in action. While the minute repeater is activated a few things happen on the dial. Among those include a "moving" waterfall as well as a mother bird feeding a chick that hatches from an egg. Automaton birds are deeply part of Jaquet Droz's original history. Help Identifying a Japanese Watch
A family member recently gave me a Japanese watch that was given to them by an old friend from that country. Unfortunately, all of the documentation and labeling on the watch is in Japanese and I've been unable to identify the maker of it. If anyone could provide me with a few clues on the origin of this watch, I'd appreciate it.Update: I was able to establish that this is a limited edition watch most likely produced by Seiko. It's part of a yearly series of commemorative watches intended to honor Sumo wrestling champions and probably dates to the late eighties or early nineties. If anyone could help translate the inscription on the back, it would be a big help. Thanks.

Does anyone have any information or recall if AP released anything about the 26124 which is the reintroduction the of dual time? Supposedly at SIHH it was supposed to be show with a white leather strap and be introduced but it had a poor showing and they scrapped it for the blue. Can't find anything official online about it, figured I would ask the people who may know!
