Luminox Supports 30-Mile Dive To Highlight Endangered Sharks; Launches Limited Edition Watches
On September 17, undersea explorer and combat diver Scott Cassell completed a 30-mile dive from Catalina Island to San Pedro, California. Scott’s goals: to call attention to endangered shark species that are approaching the edge of extinction, and to set a world distance record for the longest uninterrupted dive. According to Cassell, less than 20 years ago this area would have produced between 40 and 100 shark sightings in a single dive. On Saturday however, he encountered literally no sharks during his 11 hours underwater, despite using shark attractors during the entire dive. Been going through a couple of boxes that have been stashed away for who knows how many years. A great trip down memory lane, made all the more rewarding by the discovery of my first ever watch! I was convinced it had been lost in various moves over the years.It was a present for christmas 1966 from my folks when I was 7 years old! I remember being just about the proudest kid that ever lived! I think I had it serviced once (after an accidental dunking) and this is about its 4th band. It never missed a beat and was a great time keeper. Wound it up - and away she went - almost deserving of honorary Hamilton status? I think I owe the old girl a clean and service.Anyone know anything about Vymo watches? The web is not exactly dripping with information.

Omega Speedmaster 3572.50 replacement for Planet Ocean
Hello everyone,I have been using my Omega Planet Ocean for a daily wear for the past 1 1/2 year and just recently traded it in. Although I was used to it, wearing it everyday, I couldn't help but think that alot of it was unnecessary weight. I was looking at replacing it with an Omega Speedmaster 3572.50 with hesalite crystal and sapphire caseback as my daily wear. Does anyone have any input/opinions, or past experiences that can help me compare these 2 watches in terms of weight and how comfortable they sit on your wrist? Would the Speedmaster be a suitable replacement? My local dealer no longer carries Omega.
