Longines vs. Tag vs. Omega newbie warning
Hello,I'm new to the whole luxury watch buying scene and My husband wanted to get me a nice peice of jewelry and I deicded I wanted a nice watch. I've worn the Swiss army watch I'm currently wearing through my undergrad and graduate school and it's still going strong with no visible scratches.With that said I want a watch I can wear everyday that won't go out of style in couple years, that has a feminine style and perhaps a little bling and that won't be destroyed if I wear it to the beach or the gym. I'd love to say it's a watch I want for my lifetime, but I'm fickle and will probably grow tired of it after five-ten years and want something different.I've been looking at the Longines hydroconquest with diamonds inside and outside the bezel, the Tag aquaracer with diamonds and the Omega aqua terra, which is a little out of our price range and seems more masculine to me. Last watch for 2011
Hi. Just two days till I pick up my Christmas present and my final watch for this year. An Aqua Terra Chronograph in Red Gold and SS on Brown Allogator. Its been an amazing year... watch wish. I've learnt so much about Omega and changed direction as far as my collection is concerned (Only Omega now) and I am really looking forward to 2012 and what that might bring. OK ladies and gents,Picked up my Planet Ocean XL Black on Black (orange is not my thing) yesterday from my mail service just over the US border, paid my $5 fee and wore it back over in to Canada with no hassles (this is the 7th watch I have picked up like this) if any of my fellow canuck TFRers want the address for the place just PM me. Bought it from a great guy on Timezone who took very good care of it (I believe him when he says he only wore it a few times)What an excellent watch! Big, solid and tough as nails! The applied markers and Omega logo are just stunning! The crystal has anti-reflective coating and the face has the perfect pitch black colour to allow the broad arrow style hands to be seen in any lighting conditions. This watch glows like a lighthouse at night and it lasts a L-O-N-G time! It fits very comfortably on my wrist and the weight is well distributed. I can't say enough about how comfortable the Seamaster style clasps are and as sturdy as any more expensive brands.
