Breguet 5207BA/12/9V6 wrist watches news:
Hey everyone,I just need you're opinion on the next fact.Photo Jul 07, 13 55 51.jpgIf you see this picture, take a close look at the 40 and 45 marks for the minutes.Do you think this is just a big mistake from the person who made the watch? Or is it some extra feature that makes this single watch pretty much unique, awesome, and value rising?I checked other stores for the same watch, over there the watch was correct. Thanks!Joost
Greetings Hamilton Fans!I'm excited to announce that this Monday, 10/11/2010 I'll be doing an on-site visit with International Dial Co!As you all know, International Dial is the world leader in watch dial restoration. I've been promised an insiders view to their facilities, and the processes they use to perform their magical dial restorations! On another note, I want to address some concerns which have been voiced here about the Hamilton Forum and WATCH TALK FORUMS.There has been some concern raised about whether International Dial can be a topic of discussion given that they are not currently a WTF Sponsor. The answer to that is, yes you can discuss International Dial Company. ID is unique in they they don't sell watches, straps, accessories, or really another other product or service which conflicts with the interests of our current WTF Sponsors - they simply do watch dial restoration. And given how watch dial restoration is a critical component to the vintage watch discussion her
Has anyone acquired an original one off eBay? I've read where the fakes are so realistic, they even have original omega parts. Any words of wisdom or past stories (good or bad) are greatly appreciated.
I never expected to be posting this as I've always considered myself to be a dress-watch person. In fact, over the past few months I've been looking for a PC and I always expected that to be my next purchase. But after having spent too much time on TRF and seeing how much adulation is reserved for the 5711/5712, I saw that a local dealer got a 5712/1A in stock. So I went to see it yesterday (Sat) and was pleasantly surprised. This's the 1st time I've seen a SS nautilus in person (an AD has one in dual-tone). One reservation is that at 43mm, it's borderline too large for my wrist as I prefer sub-39mm. I didn't expect to like it but I did and it's growing on me. Call me a convert/believer.IMG_2487.JPGAnyway, having never purchased a pre-owned watch before, I've a couple of questions I'd like to ask:-- the 4yo old watch (dated mid-2013) is priced (net) ~5% below MRP. Is this reasonable? Normally I'd think not, but given the demand for this piece I'm unsure- the salesperson said that it is
I¡¯m thinking about wearing a yellow gold Rolex every day! And I¡¯m not worried about the scratches! I would love to see pictures of battle tested precious metal watches.
